Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

I’m struggling to remember if we did actually get better, with better players, when we were in the champions league. We bought Ndombele and it went the opposite way.

Pushing Up The Daisies - 2023

My mate was writing some stuff for the Wedding Present fan club and phoned up Albini from a number he obtained on the internet. Apparently he answered, and obliged with an impromptu interview!

    Cheatski are still scum

I don’t have that much of an issue with it. Presumably going forward they will pay or at least account for a commercial rent on their training ground. It is just good fortune they had assets such as this sitting inside the appropriate division when the rules were formed. When we think of Spurs...

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Oh so now you put the club captain, the scorer of 17 goals, on the bench. Sounds worse than moving him on to me.

    New music?

Just found out my online library account includes a vast library of classical music. I can honestly say I don’t know that many works.

Came down to losing the toss and having to bat first. Can’t read too much into it. Essex will be in contention for sure.

Those few wins have come from impressive bowling performances rather than more hours of play. The kookaburra ball is a lot harder to control than the normal English ball so there were a lot more runs in the first two rounds contributing to draws. I think it fair to say I would accept the...

    Ange’s system / formation

We are a fairly happy ship, but we are stuck in the doldrums and the turds and jetsam are in close attendance. We need the summer trade winds to fill the sails with some energy for the new season. More strength to Postecoglu’s elbow and COYS.

    So, what happened today?

It is worse for being more recent. The Stone age ones I can kind of dismiss more easily.

I don’t really agree with that, there have been a lot of runs and not enough wickets-particularly with the kookaburra ball in rounds one and two. Surrey and Essex have good attacks and each have got results despite lost overs. Surrey didn’t even bat in round one with no chance of batting points.

Weather is going to play a part up at Chester le Street. Essex should well carry a lead but the first innings will stretch long into day four and the pitch is not yielding wickets. Meanwhile at the Oval, Surrey have Hants on the rack and will be looking to bowl them out this afternoon for an...
