Yep, he wasnt good enough to be a realistic challenger for the first team spot, and barely good enough for the no 2 role. Nothing against the guy - just not at the right level

Your memories are incomplete though as you changed clubs for a while.I thought he was actually about the best back-up GK we've ever had (Friedel understudying Lloris was probably the best)
He seemed far more able a deputy to Lloris than Vorm and certainly Hart ever were
I'll mostly remember him for his heroics in the Watford penalty shoot-out
Hart is the worst keeper that i can remember playing for us since Ian Walker

If you listen carefully you can hear the crowd singing England’s no.1 at the end!
Ben Alnwick runs him close, and he only played once.Hart is the worst keeper that i can remember playing for us since Ian Walker
kane played keeper once tooBen Alnwick runs him close, and he only played once.
I am still trying to understand why he did it. Jose was befuddled. The best and worst thing Gazziniga ever did was to karate kick Marcos Alonso in the throat. In our box. Idiot.
Perfect description of him. There was even that time when Lloris went a bit haywire when that steadiness from Gazza was appreciated.way better than Hart, not as good as good Hugo, but less erratic
