Time to Quit

Gutter Boy

Tim Sherwood
I think the way the game has been killed this season by VAR and the way the finally rebuilt connection between the club and the fans has just been severed again, is the end for me.

Spurs 1992-2014 was toss. brick managers, brick players, brick football. 2014-2019 was a return to the Nicholson and Burkinshaw era - the bond and emotion was rebuilt. I can't cope with a return to the brick

I think Sheffield United last Saturday will be my last game. I got better things to do. Football and Spurs have lost me

Mate, you do what you need to

The only consolation I will give you is, Spurs (in some form) and some segment of the fanbase will be here if/when you want to return.

Once a fan, always a fan. There's no escaping. I'm not sure if they do a Priory for football addicts. But I doubt it will do you much good anyway.

The Jol part wasn’t brick. Neither the Redknapp part.

Obviously, you are entitled to your opinion and make your own choices, but I don't totally get some of the handwringing about Poch leaving. I love the guy, but he has literally been talking about other clubs for the last two years and even mused that he could QUIT the club if he won the Champions League Final before the game. I mean, imagine if Klopp or Jose had done that!

I love Poch, but it felt like the end of his cycle here. I think Klopp and BVB is a really good analog for the current situation. He took the club so far, but it really felt like he didn't have a ton of heart to take those next steps. We've been legitamatley awful in the league for 18 months, and his heart hasn't been in it. There was simply too much smoke in the press to believe that we had a happy camp, and as much as I'm disappointed, I understand why it's best for all parties to move forward.

I'll greet whatever manager we appoint with open arms and look forward to watching Tottenham every week, no matter what league we're in, no matter who is in control of the side.

Support the blazer not the man, the club goes on.
Until I know more I will reserve judgement on the decision, it looks like a mistake atm IMHO.
Depending on the next appointment we could lose a little bit of our DNA,.
If it's Jose or someone similar and he brings us a few cups I will celebrate, but feel a little dirty about it truth be told.

See you next season fella.

I have tried to turn my back on Spurs on several occasions over the last 60 odd years, but they always drag me back. Managers/players come and go but my love for Spurs is within and as much as i hate the way the game has gone ( greedy players, needy fans who have no idea,) i am still here.

What may end my love affair is VAR if it keeps spoiling my match going experience though.
