2023 Women’s World Cup

4-1 now... 2 for Lauren James (Would have been a hat trick already if another quality strike wasn't ruled out for offside). She really is by far the most skillful player we have. I don't follow the Women's side that closely but it seems madness she wasn't starting in the first group game.

Only just watched the game, solid performance with the team finally clicking on to gear.

There's a lot to like about the team and the move to the back three suited many players. James was incredible, neither the ref, pundits or commentators could explain the exact reasoning why her first second goal was disallowed beyond just saying it was "offside". Seemed a flimflam decision on Bronze for the penalty / booking.

Obviously it's just geography/ timezones / England not being the center of the universe but a shame games are generally on at 09:30 / 10:00 in the morning. Not sure what the figures are like but feel like there's be a bit more hype if the games were on in the evening.

Hoping the knock outs are more pub evening viewing time friendly. Work getting in the way at the moment.

It's been amazing having a World Cup in our time zone - the first time in 21 years. Stadiums packed for just about every match, broke the record total attendance before the Round of 16 is done. Give us the men's World Cup please.

Some absolutely awful, some absolutely brilliant penalties in that. Disappointed England won (only because they’re harder for Australia/Japan to get past)
