That doesn't include the "mistruths" or lies he would have said in private which will never hear the light of day.

How can someone who is so inherently interlinked with the whole notion of "lying" be in anyway associated with some kind of coming "truth"?
 
One of the things I had observed is Trump seeming in recent months to town down a lot on the orange colour that blights his face

Now today in his white house address with President Elon

The organe tone is back! And its back more orange than ever. before

Perhaps in the history of the world, but certainy in the history of the US.

The important test is whether the court orders against the EOs will be upheld. If they are ignored, which looks like the case in some instances at least, then the rule of law is on life support. The law was never equally applied over there at the best of times but this would evectively rip up the social contract. Then they are into something completely new and very bad. It would be schadenfreude off the scale to see the Supreme Court completely neutered but bad nonetheless.

Getting aside from the fact that no matter what they do you all seem to hate Trump & Musk
Do you not think it's a good the waste in Govt spending they are highlighting and stopping
With the crazy waste of tax payers money that happens in the UK, I for one wish we had a DOGE set up

Would you want a UK DOGE to be factually accurate thought?

Its not about hating, its about holding to the same standards?? If you are a genius and you are calling out fraud, do you think its not important to make sure you know which Gaza you are talking about?? I would think thats key, especially when it comes to Aids relief, I would expect him to check the fine print on that one or put 2 + 2 together and realise maybe its the wrong place he is talking about?

Who is going to be keeping DOGE accountable that how money is then redistributed is not wasteful? I would think even the most well intentioned governments have wastage, not sure its reason to purge an entire department. No one on here was talking about USAID till last week so it was hardly a glaring issue globally either

We can laugh at that stuff and the idea that straws explode.......come on now, you would if that was anyone else

If Trump or Musk do anything at all that help the world in any kind of way I will the first to acknowledge it.

I think the only thing I agree with is the tough on China approach. It is my personal belief they are to often treated far apart from a hostile state that has meddled in the political landscape for too long.

It is my suspicion Covid leaked from them. Accidentally. But they covered it up and their treatment of their own citizen is enough to demonstrate they are not our friend.

But I think I’d trade someone who’s soft on China to get back the million and one negative points against their whole global outlook

Especially when the world is facing annihilation from global warming.

And Trump and Musk are best buddies with Putin.

As for the civil service cuts. Let’s be honest it is politically motivated. It’s done with the ambition of replacing anyone who doesn’t agree with them and their agenda.

And there’s nothing at all to show it won’t lead to massive inefficiencies.

Musk took the same approach to X and it’s now pretty much a neo-nazi ghost town that’s massively lost its value.

He was too arrogant and self-centred to even let it’s real name be.

A lot of what Musk is doing is retribution or relaxing regulations for his businesses to operate. Almost none of it is about efficiency and most of it is illegal. The efficiency bit is complete gonads.

I might set-up a Ltd company this afternoon....I could do with a catch-up with my Bajan friends ...reckon I could squeeze a year away on that contract.

A ac condenser (for a building)is easily £1-£3k a pop btw. And in Barbados you're gonna need them!
