American politics

Maga did it after he was allowed back too.

Withholding your money from a company that bends the knee to Fascism is not idiotic behaviour. It is to be applauded, imo.

I’ve re-read what I posted before and it was poorly worded and I didn’t convey exactly what I wanted to say. Fully agree that withholding your hard earned money to companies that cave in to wannabe dictators like Trump is a good thing. And I abhor what Trump is doing. But I also detest cancel culture and have hated it whether it’s Jimmy Kimmel and right wingers applauded his suspension or comedians being fired for jokes or Twitter posts from years ago. Ironically Disney also fired James Gunn from directing Guardians of the Galaxy because of a tweet he posted over a decade ago. What I hate is both sides just say it’s “consequence culture” whenever they agree with the decision to fire someone. Plenty of university professors have also been fired over the years because students don’t want to hear alternate views and no one stood up for them. Everyone needs to reject cancel culture no matter what side of the political divide you stand on.

The media company more evil than Murdoch's won't be showing Kimmel.

Trump claiming in his speech at the UN that the US is finally respected again by the rest of the world and that he doesn't care about the Nobel peace prize, but deserves one for each of the seven conflicts he's ended.
