Personally, I think the decision was reckless whatever the outcome is. If he gets away with Sarr not being out, it doesn't make the decision any better IMO.

The only difference the outcome makes to me is that I don't want to hear the manager complaining that his injury list lengthened this week if Sarr is ruled out.
I agree that a decision shouldn't be judged just based on the outcome.

We don't actually know if he was at a particular risk of getting a long term injury by playing that game though. Players play with knocks quite often.

If it was the case that it was some kind of hamstring issue for example that easily could have ended up with him getting a tear and being out for several months it was an awful decision, regardless of the outcome. If he had a knock that meant he wasn't playing as well, but not at a particular risk for a long term injury not so much.

What you say is true, to some extent you always take risks

What I'm seeing is no acknowledgement of the situation, at this fudging point, if any player is close/carrying something, wrap them up, sit them out a game (yes, I know we barely have an 11, but if the risk is another out for weeks, it can't be done)

What an absolutely fudging macaron

Making Dragusin risk making a serious injury much worse by forcing him to play on when he clearly couldnt

And ruining Scarlett's season by making sure he cant play any more minutes this season

Tosser

I suppose there's a good chance we haven't got any decent offer for Scarlett to go elsewhere.

When did he force him to play on? The 10 seconds he walked on the pitch for before going down so we had time to make a sub and not play with 10 men?
At this stage I'd rather see Lankshear go out on loan than Scarlett. Scarlett is more likely to get minutes than Lankshear.

Posted this in the injuries thread, but the scope of the interview is much bigger than that, so posting it here as well.

interesting watch but he isn;t the most credible person having worked for ange before, was sacked by rangers after and has no real experience in the top leagues unlesss you count the Turkish league.

You're right, much better listening to the experts on forums.
best is to see what happens on the pitch, rotations, protecting players and changing tactics to suit what's available
ange decimated the celtic squad and he did it again with the spurs squad. the key difference is that the scottish league is a two horse race.

When he was there it was a one horse race. Rangers were in the toilet.

Ange didn't decimate the Celtic squad.
Ange was brought into a team who had given up, lost a pub team league to an even worse team because they thought they could could coast it.
The players were unfit and had a bad attitude and that was where the injuries came from.

Similarly, in for now.

The Brentford result means I feel confident we are definitely staying up. After Leicester I was really worried.

I think, acknowledging the issues with Levy and injuries, this squad should be nowhere near 27pts from 24. It is still the 6th most expensive in the league. Ange needs to show something big for the rest of the season or I would want him changed in the summer for Iraola regardless of ENIC. Poch did a good job under ENIC, Redknapp too. We need a more adaptable manager, if Iraola is that.

Unless we lose 5 or 6 on the bounce at some point between now and May I now see him here until the end of the season at least, whether that is right or wrong, depends what side of the fence you stand (or sit)
