You have illustrated exactly what I was saying i.e. when challenged with a question/questions which don't comfortably fit your own worldview, you ignore or deflect.

Here are the questions I actually asked:

You're 100% right on this. It's not Ange's fault he's Spurs head coach. It's not his fault that he's been allowed to continue until everyone's good will for this team is buried under a sea of deflation. It was a poor choice of appointment IMO due to the huge risks attached and it hasn't been a success and doesn't look like it's getting any better. That's on Lange/Munn/Levy.

With all due respect to your right to feel disgusted (it's a tongue-in-cheek comment but seriously, I respect all opinions so, please, don't be offended), I think the exact same words were used towards Mourinho, Conte and Espirito Santo, to name but three recent managers. Hell, I remember arguing with people about calling George Graham a 'dinosaur' almost thirty years ago!

My beef with calling people names is that it's an easy way out. It allows you to pass judgement without thinking or analysing the situation. However, I never read them as racist or xenophobic.

So if a player from Nigeria for example …

A) plays terribly and someone says what a brick Nigerian player we have … is racist

B) plays amazing and someone says what a fantastic Nigerian player we have … is not racist.

So he’s Nigerian when he is doing well but not allowed to be Nigerian when he is pants …

The fact you decided in November 2023 -- 3 months in!!!! - says a lot.

Nov 23 is where the cracks were visible.
We started to see the naivety of his style and what he wanted.

Even that fabled first 10 games were good but not outstanding.

People enjoyed it as it was front foot football after a few years of guff.

There’s levels to this game. Ange is not up to this level.

Don’t see much wrong with that to be honest, he wasn’t rude or arrogant at all. Think the question was fair too. The answer back to Ange is “there aren’t many professions that are so results driven and even less where you get paid millions a year.”

Yeah the question was fine, as was the response. We are and have been at the stage where anything Ange says is going to get twisted and used against him by those who just don't want him here.

Dont get me wrong there have been things he could have responded to in a different way (as could literally every other manager), but there are many things that he's done/said people have just whinged about for the sake of it.....

But yes if someone says “what a brick Nigerian player”

Then they are almost certainly bringing race into it as empathising the point he is brick.

When winks was getting pelted (mostly unfairly ) he wasn’t a brick English player was he? He was just a brick player (he actually wasn’t brick, just maybe not up to the standard we wanted)
