You're experiences as a man of Asian descent are not the same as though of an African/Carribbean experience. We both have our trials but they are not necessarily the same and you shouldn't be trying to negate the experience of others especially those whose shoes you have not walked in.

Everyones experience is different. So judging anyone elses experience compared to your own is going to be subjective.

He lives to fight another day.
The positive is that we are through and it was a semi decent performance against average opposition, probably our best performance in months but it’s a very low bar.

Does it instill any confidence that he is the manager for the long term, not at all. The frailties of his system are still there.
In my opinion we have more of a chance of winning the Europa League if he isn’t our manager but he ls not getting sacked any time soon but it’s worrying regardless of trophy or no trophy the end of this season, if the management of the club don’t see the fatal flaws in our manager, particularly if this poor standard of performance continues

We won a game that had to be won, and for that, some credit has to be given

Nothing else has changed ..

Even if we won the Europa League I think he will get switched over the summer.

It doesn’t seem a sustainable way to play for a side playing European football. Seeing our forwards have no energy to make runs when we have possession - because they’ve been engage in one of the most inefficient presses in football - is an issue for me.

If Ange sorted out the school yard press, made it coordinated and led by one or two players who makes the call, then I’d be more interested in his tenure. Atm we press one at a time. Not as a team.

When we play Ange ball, the way we are meant to, we’re the best pressing side around
Key is, is the sustainable without injuries

Tactically, worrying that as soon as VDV went off that we got done by one ball as the usual deficiences with the high line and player postitioning were still present. Really happy we won, I just can't see us beating good teams playing the way we play. AZ were terrible, didn't pose any threat yet we still conspired to make them a threat.
The balance between committing and stability is too far skewed over one side.

Well yes. We are when we sprint and give all the energy available. But the press also opens us up. We actively create space for teams to play in. Then when we get possession the forwards are knackered. Son had success with an individual press last night. But better sides will pass around one player sprinting at them. So often one of our forwards presses, the opposition passes, and then the next man presses - rather than all move up as a team.

Other sides 'selectively press' - choose when to and when not to. Seeing Solanke run himself into the ground running after the ball when there are 3-4 defenders all available for the pass is sad to see. He doesn't have much left to attack with when we get possession.
