I haven't read this entire thread so someone else might have pointed this out, but I feel duty-bound to point out that the classic four Yorkshiremen sketch was from "At Last the 1948 Show", which featured Marty Feldman, Tim Brooke-Taylor, John Cleese and Graham Chapman.They used to have their own show on the box called Monty Phythons Flying Circus for several years, it was shown on there. Great TV imo as they really were different then anything around at the time.
But if you tell that to the kids of today, they'll laugh in your face.
The Pythons reprised the sketch several times in their live appearances.
While Cleese and Chapman were working together on the 1948 show, Palin and Jones were collaborating on "Do Not Adjust Your Set", which also featured David Jason, of "Only Fools" fame.
