Yeah no point doing it when something is on the line but the rest of the time ignoring actually managing.

He's shown before he can do it, then just reverts in the next game with Udogie playing false 9 and 10 at the same time.
If that's the case it'll just confirm our thought of him as a coach.

He's doing it to trick our EL opponents...play the crazy way in the Prem...then flip the script in the EL...pump it into Solanke, Vic bang it long, pack the defence... opponent will be totally unprepared, confuse the fudge out of them.
 
Look at the 3 macarons (and Nuno) that he's worked for though. Sometimes the best you can do in your role is damage limitation. I've got a mate in the civil service whose chief role for a decade was 'limiting the harm of Michael Gove'. So do you judge him by Gove's results? Or the gap between Gove's actual damage and potential damage?

Lots of people used to be down on Chrissy Hughton, because he worked alongside a lot of dud managers. But he then went on to show that he was much more capable than all of them.
No, you judge him by the fact that he is only good enough to get a job in the civil service.
