Not great trending there.

Wouldn't be as bad if there were sustained periods of stability but as the eye test says, it's either one or the other with Ange. And it's more often than not the other.

Again the only way to stabilize would be to concentrate on the defensive side of the game, make us hard to beat etc but that doesn't seem to be an option.

No idea how other way he can stop that downturn.

He's talking a bit of bollox in this interview. Not sure if I like it or not.

3 games to become a hero that you probably never liked? A bit like Hangman in Tom Gun: Maverick.

I now find him impossible to like. Arrogance and delusion are not a great mix.

what an arse

last year was a disaster because we didn't qualify for the CL, despite being well clear of 5th mid season, how does he not realise that?

this season is disaster because we have lost over half of our games and are nowhere near European qualification in the league, which has been practically a guarantee for the last 20 years

I'll say it again, arse

Re the bolded bit. I'm sure I read something that said we were the first team in PL history to be top after 10 games and fail to finish in the top 4. Not sure if true or not.

Cept Hangman could manage to fly his plane with great ability, wouldn't trust Ange flying a kite tbh...

17th we are currently, I know the joke around Aussies is that everything is upside down their end - but even Ange must realise 17th isn't 4th.

I didn't feel it was a bad presser at all.

Talking of "different", I don't understand why he keeps saying he is doing things differently. Now I get that the club has done things differently. They've changed the entire leadership structure, they've invested over a number of years in the academy. Most importantly, their big bets like stadium, NFL, F1 karting etc are now instantiated into running the club. They've churned the squad for their managers and will continue to do so.

What is different at the manager level though?

To me, the only thing that is different from the other managers is his tactical system. The rest is business as usual. He talks as if he has some sort of magic beans. He just manages a squad of players just like Poch, Jose, Nuno and Antonio did right? I'd love to know what he thinks he does differently to them.

I quite like the stone cutter analogy. It's nice to know that in his mind we have to keep hammering the stone and eventually we get the breakthrough. I guess there is a fine line between that and the definition of insanity though.

I think Ange is high as a kite. Man has lost his damn mind.

He concedes in the first 10min

We only lose by 1 goal

His defense is a master class and all the other managers we had can only wish they had the foresight to have his expertise
