4-0 against Everton

4-1 against West Ham
4-0 against Emirates Marketing Project
4-1 against Aston Villa
5-0 against Southampton
4 of those were tight games and late goals to make the games look like rollovers. Two of those had red cards where we played against ten men. Soton and Everton are the only ones where we genuinely outplayed them. Even city had numerous chances and we have had the most chances against us this season.

Name the other 9 we have lost. Go on. Played them off the park have we?

All the teams from Everton down are pretty brick, so there's little chance of us getting relegated. I don't really see the point of changing a manager mid-season unless we have to, so I remain Ange-in still, but if our current points per game continues until the summer, he's simply got to go. Having said that, I'd be happy to take 14th place if it mean us winning the Euro cup or the FA cup. Hope we get some proper reinforcements in Jan.

Yeah, but 17 teams will probably get to 35 points.

Will we?

F it I'll do it.

Ipswich, played us off the park
Leicester, played us off the park In the second half, lucky to draw
Bournemouth, played us off the park
Chelsea, absolutely battered us
Liverpool, absolutely battered us
Arsenal, outplayed us.
Saudi Sportswashing Machine, played us off the park
Brighton 50/50 we outplayed them but they played us off the park and won in second half
Fulham, played us off the park and had ten men, lucky to draw
Palace, played us off the park

I may be exaggerating on a few, but when we have lost we have deservedly lost without turning up. Some of the wins (Villa, Brentford, West Ham) have been lucky and by no means did we batter them, although scorelines may show otherwise.

We have been on a decline since the Chelsea loss last season at home, and you can say majority of our wins last year were lucky too and last minute winners.

There were so many games where we didn't deserve to win but we did. It's just been brick for over a year now and games are not fun.

Going one nil down or two nil down and hen chasing the game isn't fun. It was supposed to get better but it's got worse.

What is now occurring to me is that Ange's expectations on players is unfair. Today, Ange picked a centre mid of Bents, Sarr and Kulu. When the goal was conceded, our centre mid was Johnson (8), Sarr (10), Spence (10) based on positions. Kulu was out in the widest right wing position, whilst Bents was playing right back.

On what planet does Ange think Johnson is going to take responsibility and be the 6, let alone tackle like one and shield our rookie centre halves?

This system is becoming a joke to me now.

It's just too easy to play through and we aren't even creating enough clear opportunities to go three up and where we can afford to let that "easy attack" through where they scored.

Yes son should have done better but I honestly thought after watching the first Ange friendly last season against west ham when we battered them with attacks, that this would be it. But games aren't even fun anymore. Southampton was but that's once every 5 or 6 games. I thought this would be EVERY game. It's not and it's very boring football. Sideways and backwards, slow.

We aren't going to win a cup, we aren't getting past the semi, we are too predictable and everyone knows how to play us now, fudging opposition player have no respect for us.

We aren't going to get relegated

The problem is we are killing the players, Gray, Bergvall, Udogie, Sarr are not benefiting from being hung out to dry every game, Son, Solanke and Deli are being run into the ground and are probably constantly in red line territory.

Club needs to make a decision sooner vs later

I remember that game well. We battered West Ham and lost. At the time I couldn't have possibly imagined the tactical system flaws would become such a big thing.

My problem is that I've missed out on watching us that much this season. I feel less informed and the wonderful folks on GG have kept me going with their analysis of the games (plus the podcasts).

People can keep me honest, but I don't think today was totally representative of our season to be fair. The way we lost was totally representative of Ange's tactical system in my opinion though.

9 points off the bottom 3, no fit senior centre backs and a manager that wouldn't know pragmatism if it fisted his wife in the badger.....wolves up next....don't tempt fate.

Other than Tamworth and Elfsberg, i genuinely cant see where our next points are coming from. Not until we play the two manchester teams at the end of Feb anyway.

I have to say, I'd love to be the fly on the wall in a board meeting these days, or listen in on how Lange and Munn are assessing the situation. He might as well be gone any day now, depending on what goes on behind closed doors.

I think if Lange and Munn aren't sounding out potential options right now and assessing whether they'd better than Ryan Mason till the end of the season, they'd be negligent.

I'd assume we have been looking at alternates for at least a month or two.

The big question is the club has to spend in January, do they risk that spend with Ange or next guy?

Only 3 teams have lost more games than us this season. I'd be interested to see the form chart for 2024 as a calendar year. I bet we'd be near the bottom....

You’ll be relieved to see that we’re the 10th best PL team of 2024 and whilst 50 points is our worst annual haul since 2008 it’s hopefully an omen that we’re going to win the League Cup.

Our shape as a team is an absolute mess at times and it’s been worse recently. The game at Bournemouth is another that jumps out at me. I remember posting that night to say we were absolutely all over the place shapewise.

I really think Ange is in a very difficult spot here because he’s well and truly hitched himself to one way of playing that’s not working right now and he can’t change. There is no way there aren’t some players in that dressing room thinking “this isn’t working”. I know he’s a c0ckwomble but Pardew said on Sunday “if I’m a defender in that team today, I’m going in to that dressing room and telling the manager I’m not playing in defence for a team that plays like that again.”

While I’m sure none of the players did that, they’d want bulletproof faith in Ange for the thought not to have crossed their minds.
