Just got a random Facebook message off an old Czech colleague
He is a football nut and goes to games everywhere in Europe
I now have to take him to Tottenham it seems (a promise I made about 15 years ago) to see the best keeper in the world (his words)
This is guy who told me about Petr Cech when we wanted him around that time
 
Apparently the first Spurs goalie in 100+ years to start their Tottenham career with two clean sheets.
 
Shaky tonight and should've done better for their second, but he doesn’t shy away from challenges in the box and didn't look too fazed after his near howlers and the home fans taunting him.

Should be a good lesson about the tempo of the PL and the need to be up to speed.
 
Think the commentators were over the top with the comments about him on the ball. Besides one mess up he was fine and passed it well in general. Poor decision to pass to Spence almost cost us though. Could've done better with the second goal.
He did really well on crosses, coming and punching a load whereas Viccario would've been stuck behind a player.

I think GKs new to the league who play that way tend to get that sort of treatment from the commentators - i thought he was strong on the ball and don't see any justification for their coverage of him

He got every cross he could
The only he didn’t was the one they scored from
I was really increases because he stuck with the plan
 
Very very impressed with him. Three games in, prem debut against Arse, 2/3 clean sheets, brave and decisive and quick footed. Once he’s settled in I see Vicario struggling to hold onto his place

They were over the top with a lot of things. Especially that kindergardener at left back, who it seemed must be the second coming of Jesus Christ, only this time with the combined footballing genius of Maradona, Messi and Ronaldo as well.

Yeh and people lose their heads in the game as fans, but reality is 19 years old and his 3rd games a NLD under constant high ball bombardment. He done really well.
