A loan for CCV and Wimmer sold would explain the incoming.

CCV a year ago looked a better player, not sure what happened in the interim.
 
Would be pleased for him and Onomah to get a years experience playing football and think it will help them no end. A lot of people I think have put to much stock in what Poch said about favouring coaching young players.

I think if a young players goes out on loan it is more of work experience before Poch and his team can then apply the finishing touches. Certainly both of them looked to me like they needed 30 league games under their belt.

I would like to think this is Poch showing he can evolve as a manager and is probably the thing he learnt most form "that" lunch with Ferguson. That as your team gets better so you have to change tact sometimes.
 
Let's hope that he gets lots of first team experience there and can fight for a place with us from next season.

He's always been known as that through the academy. It's a Citron reference, rather than a CR7 type thing

I said in another thread that because expectations around the club have changed (i.e. we are a legit title challenging team as opposed to a Europa League team) we will see more youngsters going on loan than we have previously under Poch. Hopefully they can get the game time they need to come back and challenge for places.

It's not just GB though is it, it's throughout the club and every person in the "real" world I know refers to him as it as well. It's a genuine nickname, if you dont like it that's fine, but you can't deny it's existence! Ha
 
On the bench for Sheff Utd today though didnt get on, not surprisingly given his late move and being a CB. Think this is a very good move for him and the chance for him to prove himself
 
We will need to warn their manager not to do this again.

If he doesn't play in the next game we should cancel the loan and send him somewhere else.

On the bench within days of joining is a pretty good start. Maybe the plan is that he trains with his new team mates first, and from there earns his place in a starting 11? That would certainly fit in with Poch's own philosophy.

Seriously? He only went there 24-48 hours ago! Probably only had 1 training session with his new team-mates at most!
