The goal shouldn't matter. If a player tries to stop a goal illegally, the scoring of the goal shouldn't be a get out of jail card. The current interpretation means it is worth trying to stop the goal illegally as it's goal or red card. The possibility of a goal plus red card would be a better deterrent against illegal play.

P.S. If Havertz and Werner both get their acts together next season, Chelsea could be really good. This season they've flattered to deceive but have had their moments.
