Christian Eriksen

That and the fact that Toure takes penalties. Who is the highest scoring midfielder, of 2014, if penalties are disregarded?

Sky Sports published this on the 14th... Since then Yaya has scored 2 more goals whilst Eriksen, Mirallas and Sterling got 1 more each... So Eriksen pips Yaya and Mata with a total of 13 non-penalty goals to 12 for the year \o/

And Sterling has been playing as an out and out Striker at times ..

And this is why Eriksen has to be closer to the striker and not stuck out on the left. Yes he can still be effective from the wide position but his shooting ability and eye for a pass are way more useful closer to the striker.

Yet his record when playing from the left ****es over his record when playing centrally behind the striker. He's harder to pick up and he can move into the space where he causes damage rather than already being there and having to wait to be picked out.

I wonder how the table will look like after the matches today. Hope Eriksen can score and become the top goal scoring midfielder of 2014, excluding the penalties. But somehow, can see Yayo Toure scoring a few and beating Eriksen to the title.

@BainsXIII: Eriksen under Pochettino: passing more, sharper and shorter. Massive defensive work rate increase. He's growing #THFC

Looks like he will be hold that title for 2014, well unless Sterling gets a hat-trick on Monday night and (as Raziel said) even then he's been playing as a forward lately anyway.

Christian Eriksen (88)
Santi Cazorla (85)

Cisse 7

Sakho 7

So, so good today. His defensive contributions have increased in direct proportion to the amount of hair he has. :p Closed down like a demon, looked assured and clinically confident, played some brilliant passes to keep possession when under pressure, and looked happy at the end: yep, genuinely happy, which is a rare thing to see from the Iceman. :D
