Let's get into the accounting of it.Not a like for like comparison at all, however I'm not going to get into the accounting of it
where can I see his apology ?
I wouldn't normally do this but, here's something from that Harry Hotspur site.
I think it may be worth considering because it's not exactly damning of Spurs and Levy and, to my mind, that makes it a bit more likely to have specks of truth within it given the tone of most stuff he puts up there.
Anyway, read, take as much salt to accompany as you see fit. At worst it's someone's cry for attention and traffic and now you don't have to click on his site. At best, it could be true.
"The aftermath of Danny Rose’s explosive Sun interview has been remarkably civilised. In many respects, it had to be.
Daniel Levy popped round to Danny Rose’s last night to discuss the matter and work out a way forward, if possible.
The club was obviously horrified and it’s not news that Rose has been fined.
There’s something to put out here, to preface this with. Rose isn’t too bright. I know I have a fondness for describing people in this light, but in this instance it’s neither unkind or unfair.
Rose is genuinely mortified as to how this is panned out. He genuinely didn’t envisage things ending up as they did. I believe that he’s been beyond naive.
Having spoken to Gladys at some length, I think this lunacy wasn’t intentional, or at least the boy didn’t set out to destabilise the club.
It also needs to be added at this juncture that The Sun are guilty of inventing the utterly specious nonsense about Rose being greeted with applause at training today. That did not happen.
The truth is he was greeted sheepishly by his teammates who quite rightly didn’t understand where all this had come from. There is no mutinous vibe at Hotspur Way. Repeat, there is no mutinous vibe at Hotspur Way.
Rose is beyond furious The Sun put this garbage out. There was no need and it betrayed any trust.
Levy was calm with Danny last night and simply sought to get to the root of the problem.
It turns out that of course a requested pay rise had been rebuffed and the transfer of Walker had left Rose brooding on the matter.
Instead of talking to Levy or indeed Poch, instead the boy spoke his agent who predictably gave him some abysmal advice. Once The Sun had been introduced to the equation the madness spread like wildfire.
Glad says that Levy has always had a good rapport with Rose. This is was simply insane and very avoidable.
Rose was reminded that he had been promised a review last September in a year’s time – so next bloody month!
Levy also reminded him that the team hadn’t won anything and this would prompt significant bonuses and pay improvements.
Bizarrely Rose’s response to this was ‘I didn’t think you wanted us to win stuff, ‘coz you’d need to double everyone’s money!’
The lad isn’t the shiniest penny in the till drawer.
Look, for now, the bottom line is that Rose is staying.
Rose will see his case reviewed and Levy has had a wake up call. Whether this safeguards us from this or something similar happening again is anyone’s guess."
Levy "popped round to Danny Rose's last night"... What - after the (embargoed) story was published at 11.30pm?
I buy that Rose might not be the brightest spark. I don't buy that he was naive enough to think he could say all that he did and not create a huge stir.
I just hope this can all die down a bit now. His "apology", sparse as it was and grudging as it seemed, is the first step. Poch has said today that once Rose is fit he'll decide his place in the team. So next step is to get fit and show a lot of effort and good attitude.
If he does that, and if Poch wants to play him, then I'll trust in Poch's judgement. I think Rose has a lot of work to do though to turn this around with a good section of the fanbase. And given his comments about previous bad treatment, how will he deal with the - surely inevitable - stick he will now have to take from some fans?
It is hard to imagine the "Danny, Danny Rose" chants ringing out with anything like the same intensity as previously. I find that very sad.
Last night being Thursday. Story came out Wednesday night, yes?
As I say, I don't take this as gospel. But it may not be utter bunk.
We have no idea what has happened behind closed doors here. Maybe he or his agent have already spoken to Levy to air his grievances? Maybe he has already spoken to Poch? Maybe he has been told he has no chance of a pay rise and that players will not be coming in? Maybe there is frustration in the dressing room and he is the 'shop steward'?
We have no idea here what has happened, but we should definitely be concerned that it has happened as we have already lost the best right back in the league. Losing the best left back in the league as well cannot be considered to be a good thing.
He'd have to Google Stoke firstImagine the reaction from a Stoke team if he turned up there and told them he'd had to Google them all. He'd break his leg in the first training session.
He'd have to Google Stoke first
I have met several football players over the years and in all honesty most of the are not the brightest of people, however the more i think and read about this shows just how thick Rose is. For a start i have never met his agent but Rose should get rid of him because he has put Rose up to this and by doing so has made Rose look stupid. Now either his agent is as stupid or he does not care about the fallout that Rose has bought down on himself.
His agent is his uncle.
And also Kyle Walker's agent.
The guy who did the interview is a 'friendly' journalist who has interviewed Danny before when he worked at other papers. It may not be beyond the realms of possibility that the interviewer isn't overly happy with what his employer did to the piece he provided as well.
