Not world class but the level below it. He's also got a real drive, is a leader, and we've been missing both those qualities throughout most of the team.

His support of the manager/style of football he wants to play. Does that make you trust him less/evaluate him as not elite?
I personally think the term world class is used too generously in football. I do think Deki is a supremely good player who would get into City, Liverpool and many other top sides.
I don't think one has any baring on the other there - do you think I'm rating him lower as a player because he has spoken highly of the manager?
I think he's a supremely hard working and determined player who's ability on the ball doesn't quite match up to that side of him. The type of player his teams fans love but wouldn't really attract the attention of the top level clubs - certainly not trying to knock him, he's a valuable member of the squad and one of our best players.

I think that is because Gray is 18. Those extra years (plus Italian experience, probably fluent in three languages) really count.

I, and expect others, have long thought him to be a player that City would love to have. He would be perfect for them. But I really want to think that he will stay with us for many years to come and be our captain.

I apologise for that and will somewhat hold my hand up.
If I am truthful, there have been several exchanges which I have left me feeling less than wonderful, and further, if I am honest with myself, the nature of the question was reflective of that; there was a curiosity as to how deep your antipathy towards Postecoglu spreads, however on reflection this question was not the way to ask.
I am hopeful we can have conversations about the manager/side without either of us feeling that way, and will certainly hold myself more accountable in making sure I do so.

A lot of well deserved praise for the youngsters yesterday, but Kulusevski definitely deserves some too. Scarlett took his goal well, found space, delighted for him. But it was Kulusevski who created it with a trademark move and cross. The move to break the deadlock, make the chance that changed the game from frustrating to fun.

For sure. Only 45 minutes and not exactly the most intense game around.
Only Porro that never gets a rest. But we may actually be in a position to maybe sub him for 10 minutes at some point in the next month.
