But then they need to agree what they are happy to concede on from that menu. Would they take higher ticket prices in order to keep OAP concessions, for example? And because they are not negotiating on behalf of the whole fanbase, how do they decide what can be given up? And because of the nature of the movement they can hardly keep their strategy secret. If the club say ok we will reinstate the OAP concession but everyone else has to take the hit via a price increase, or, we’ll lower the cut off for the Young Adult concession instead, is that acceptable?
All somewhat hypothetical of course as they are not in a position to negotiate with the club anyway but I don’t think they want a negotiation, they simply have a list of things they want to be done differently. Not saying that’s wrong but they have no leverage other than making noise.
I agree it's a large list and that could because the people formulating it may not have much experience in negotiating. It's hard for me to understand how anyone can make demands in situations like this without a large majority of "the fans" being with them and having the same aims.
I as a pensioner do not feel entitled to a discount but do believe it should be for kids, branding means little to me, but I could foresee it leading to advertising signing all over the stadium, I certainly don't like creating "an atmosphere" it's not Disneyland let the team performance create it.
I certainly cannot see how we as supporters have a say in how the club is run on the commercial (non football) side or be expected to be consulted.
