Ohhhhhhhhhhh I think its utter trash........maybe being a music head I am looking at it a wrong way, but its a horror for me. Added to the fact they have not been in North London forever

It’s not something I would personally listen to even without the Arse connection, but as a common denominator football sing along thing it is working wonders, and I understand why. It’s got all the right ingredients. I think we’d all love it if that song was our’s and about us, but no one wants to admit it, haha.

(Sacrilege, I know, but let’s be honest, the Chas n’ Dave Tottenham songs aren’t exactly musical pieces of art, to put it mildly, but we all love them, and as football songs, they work!).

Honestly mate, no chance, I absolutely hate it.........the Lyrics are dumb as you like.....the only bit that comes anywhere near making it a football song is the "North London forever".

Thinking is hard for some people

- Mid week game (less demand)
- Not all season tickets have cup games included (more availability)
- Tickets are cheaper

If you have money, season ticket, doing a night game in the middle of week is less enticing, if you struggle to get to and/or afford games, you will make the effort, the two things line up well ..

Perhaps you (and others) should try not really going on SM so much. I have accounts but only time I really post is when on holiday and barely look at SM unless links to things from here. Despite not accessing teletext constantly im doing just fine keeping up with current affairs. Seems like most people on there just whinge about others peoples opinions and how much nonsense they talk when you could so easily avoid it all....

Lol yes, but SM is something you can choose to avoid (to some extent). Not a pop at any of you guys that do use it a lot, but do think we were better off in the pre teletext days....

Ohhh I think its the start of the downfall of society for many reasons (seriously I mean that). I love using it as somewhat of a barometer of society TBH

Another I just don't get, I went to watch them v Livi as my family lived in Craigshill which is Livi territory (used to be Meadowbank) and its such a slow.......grim and wordy song, the only time it gets rousing is over the lyrics "Sunshine on Leigh"...........f

It's all subjective, isn't it, I bet you won't find many scummers saying that! And we're obviously inclined to say it sucks.

Edit: I heard it for the first time since I saw it on TV a while back, and you're right! The rhythm really sucks. fudging hell. It's the crappy off beat piano that ruins it, yet it somehow works as a chant.

Anyhow, didn't mean to make this a discussion about music.

Hmm, I was waiting for it to start but it just stayed on like a sort of intro. Definitely not the best football chant I’ve heard or anywhere near it, but we all have our preferences. Lovely to hear everyone singing along to it though, obviously.

It's a great song. Chas and Dave are also great. Your taste in music is deplorable.
