ENIC

Less international summer tournaments, no Nations League rubbish, no World Cups in the middle of seasons to increase workload on players, no 'covid crunched tournaments' which suddenly end up seeing major tournaments back-to-back. I think the Euros being pushed a year to 2021 coupled with the Woerld Cup in winter of 2022, added to the extended seasons after covid saw the workload on top players become too much. I think we're seeing in the last two seasons just how bad that load has been.

How come other teams are far better at high pressing than us?

Could be as I suggested a couple of years ago then (that Munn was just a patsy to get through Paratici’s ban).

Yeah mainly because some fans let them do whatever they want. We could get relegated and some would still say it’s just a blip. It’s truly amazing how allergic we are to trophies in ENIC’s time and some still think they’re the best owners in the world and we can’t do any better.
There's no pressure because there's a queue of people waiting to buy those tickets if those fans don't buy them.

The only pressure that can be put on the owners is to choose another club. And that would have to happen in unrealistically large numbers

Well they all quit. Then we got a massive injury crisis. Even if they were sub-par, have a transition period when you have some in post.

Yeah, I'm sure they didn't ALL quit because of Munn. The one thing I learnt around working with Occ Health companies is that the churn of people is always high. Go and look at your local GP surgery and observe the churn there as well. It's constant. THFC inevitably lost people and hired people for years. There is also a huge contracting community in the medical community.

I don't think Munn should take any bullets for the fitness issues we've had at the club. All he's done is look at the overall structure and make sure the medical team is right sized with the right specialisations. I bet he's had a look at the fitness conditioning and the football coaching aspects as they are all intrinsically linked.

And often as proven in many fly on the wall documentaries, medical staff present the facts to management who take, in many cases, the decision with the player to play them when not fully fit. Jose was well known for this and also insisting players take injections etc. Its a much more complex subject than just "yeh guy at the top is to blame for a spat of injuries"

We haven’t been selling out in the PL for a while now. You only have to follow on here to know that tickets placed on the exchange haven’t been selling, and plenty have been saying about empty seats in the stadium.

That's due to being at the West Ham end of the table with a stadium from the Spurs end of it.

When we're even vaguely near the top we pretty much sell out all the time
