Fireworks

It's just started tonight - bang - bang - bang!

Rememberance day right?? Those who have died in war/s?

Perhaps we need some proper laws.

Mofos

I think its Diwali - usually around this time. So that could be the reason

Okay, only bumping to give an indication of the idiocy of fireworks...

Well they're out again tonight. Almost a month on from fireworks night.

Just in time for those putting their kids to sleep and a Sunday...

Is it a religious night or is it a belated St Andrew's celebration? I bet not.

Will it go on until the departs decide "well it's almost Xmas" or "...New Year"??

What an effin joke

You people are such killjoys. Fine, they may be a minor disturbance to your life, but why not let some people enjoy themselves? If you don't like it that much listen to some loud music or TV. There should definitely be no laws banning fireworks under any circumstances because it's so brick how the government has to try and take away everything people might enjoy. Some people enjoy fireworks, so just deal with it.

Why not listen to some loud music or tv???? Clearly you do not have kids... Or maybe relaxing on a Sunday night before a hard week of work means nothing to you...

It's the inconsideration that riles me...

I don't understand what people have to consider? Your idea of considerate in this case is either silent fireworks or no fireworks. Everyone knows that it's going to be loud but some people enjoy it, and I just don't feel that these people should be criticised or have regulations against them just because they're enjoying themselves.

I think the point is the time they go on till and the amount of days that people now have their evenings ruined by loud bangs. Scare the crap out of my dog when im walking him as well so im not a fan. At least arond 5th of november i know not to walk him outside in the evenings.

Loud on the 5th - fine

Loud on 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 11th - ****ish behaviour

What next? Christmas day on Saturdays only?

Its pathetic

Every fudging night since about the last week in October.

I kid you not..............every single night.

There seems to be a particular household doing it, somewhere out back of us, but every bloody night.

And yes, COYS obviously doesn't have things in his life that are affected like the rest of us. All of us can accept things like bonfire night, new year, etc etc, but EVERY fudging NIGHT?

But there are laws to protect that right to silence, hence why the government made it illegal to set off fireworks after 11 PM, with some exceptions to a few nights of the year. I am completely against any form of banning fireworks on all nights apart from a few, because some people might have a party or something where they would like to enjoy fireworks and if that was me I wouldn't like the government bricking all over my plans.

Unless you want fireworks banned for all nights of the year apart from Bonfire Night and a few other nights, then you can have no complaint.

Anyway it's gone 11 now so if the fireworks are continuing then you have the legal right to not have to put up with it now and complain to the police.

Guy Fawkes night is conveniently moved to the nearest Friday/Saturday night.

You do realise the 5th falls on a different day each year?

I sort of understand.

Though we used to do our Guy Fawkes stuff all on the 5th no matter what day it was.

We were always finished before eleven so it was all fine.

What's wrong with that? These are surely the days you lot should prefer the firework parties to be held on, seeing as it means you do not have work the next day and being kept up a little later won't affect you as much.

Some on the Saturday

Some on the Sunday
