Golf Thread

Fitz really could propel himself to the next level now
Having won big on the DP World Tour, first win in the US and it being a major
They said on interview he is very driven and works so so hard so won't be resting on his laurels
Make his putting a bit more consistent and who knows with him
 
I don’t watch much golf, only really the Open, Masters and the Ryder cup, so coming from this limited knowledge base I’m stunned Fitzpatrick won a major, I’ve only really seen him play Ryder cup and he’s been pretty awful. Has he improved a lot or just not showed his best for Europe?
 
He has never been awful
He has added distance which he was lacking in yet is still very accurate off the tee, is a very good iron player too
His putting still could be better though but he is apparently one of the hardest working players on the tour
He has had a fantastic 2022 so far

Good player who in my opinion lacked self belief. He has the tools, and by most accounts the work ethic, but he never looked fully comfortable in the limelight imho.
Last night was the first I've seen him in a while and his demeanour has changed, maybe he has come of age, maybe its his caddie, but he definitely looked more at home out there.
