Erik Lamela may be Tottenham’s hidden gem this season
Tottenham ace Erik Lamela could still be a major player for the club this season.
Tottenham have a talented crop of players that are expected to make the difference for them this season, with Harry Kane and Lucas Moura two of the most potent threats in attack.
But one player that perhaps goes under the radar and could be a hidden gem for Mauricio Pochettino’s side is Erik Lamela.
The left-footed attacker made his comeback from injury in the second-half of last season and the key for him may be an extended run in the side this year.
Lamela impressed in his only appearance so far this season by assisting during a 17-minute cameo, but his fitness remains an ongoing problem for him.
According to a report from Football.London, the Argentinian is back in training and could be available to feature in the club’s next game against Liverpool.
The winger provides Spurs with some extra creativity in the final third when he plays and is a major fan favourite.
Spurs are going to have a busy fixture list due to balancing European and domestic competitions, which is why Lamela could have a top season if he remains available to Pochettino.
He is an intelligent attacker with great vision and fans would surely love to see him stay fit for the rest of the season, where he would surely cause several defences havoc.

I think if we can keep Lamela fit for whole season, he can really help us win a major trophy or two this season.
