I liked Erik Lamela before it was cool

Running around aimlessly concending fouls doesn't equate to a good attitude IMO. Lamela plays like a (very one footed) 7 year old in the playground.

VVD, Dias, Kane, Suarez (this season with Atleti), da Gea (that season with United)

A few players have made 15 point swings .. (not saying it applies in this case, but possible)
 
I’ll definitely miss having him around if he leaves this summer. Been a good signing, symbolic of our last 7/8 years, good but not quite good enough, occasional flashes of brilliance. We thought we had signed a flashy winger who carried a goal threat, we got a hatchet man who only uses one foot but uses it like a wand. Will only remember him fondly as someone who gave his all, loved the club and gave us glorious memories.

- He's a better player than most give credit for, and has played some important parts in games/seasons.
- The one footed thing is flimflam and only an issue for people because he's a lefty, I've never heard people say that about a right footed player and there are plenty of them (two footed players are the exception)
- He's injuries have been mismanaged, and it seems it took until the end of his time here to get them sorted.
- Clearly gave his all, every fudging game

Best of luck to him and hope he gets to play more wherever he goes.
