Agreed, and the fact that people are posting rabonas, nutmegs, whacking people, nicking water bottles etc, rather than goals, assists and mentioning games which he dominated, tells a real story

Decent guy, great attitude, worked hard, never complained...but, for whatever reason, didnt reach the heights which many would have expected from him

Off the pitch yes he does have his problems which are well documented. But I don’t know how anyone can ever question his desire on the pitch. Wasn’t the most gifted player (like Lamela) but always gave absolutely everything, especially in the CL final when literally no one else besides Rose and Winks turned up. It frustrated me seeing Tripper on the opposite flank giving so little whilst Rose was clattering opponents and putting everything into tackles.

I think it's the same Napoleon complex that made him fight so hard on the pitch that made him such a prick off of it.

I don't think with Rose you can have one without the other.
 
Despite a penalty miss, I’ll always remember Erik’s ferocious performance against City at the Lane in October 2016 when we beat them 2-0. He pressed City from the off, and everybody else followed. He really didn’t give them an inch.

My daughter and I couldn’t get seats together that day - she was around 10 rows in front of me. She turned round on the HT whistle and shouted up, “Lamela…unbelievable!”

I’ll follow Sevilla with interest this season.

I'm wondering re Moura and whether Nuno will play him RW, or whether he might play GLC further forward. Haven't seen many rumours about Moura leaving. Obviously depends on the formation which we play too
