Sod playing Verts in the holding role, we should have used him up front Saturday. He has great ball control, good in the air and can finish.

Would not be the first time a CB played striker ;)

I dont think AVB will play them both together if im honest...

Both are attacking threats, and if they go up together, we could find ourselves in trouble at the back...

Although i hope im wrong

Pretty sure it is not beyond the wit of AVB and those two players to agree together that only one would go up at a time =)

Have you never noticed that both CBs of just about every team go up for set pieces?

All teams send their big players up for set pieces, regardless of position, and leave a couple of shorties back to defend, often the FBs. Parker, Lennon, Naughton/BAE obvious options for us.

As he walked away, I said to him future Spurs captain, he turned around with a big smile on his face. Lovely bloke & is a well built tall lad.
