Unlike a lot of us, I don't have a problem with a manager playing a defensive style, or something not typically Spurs, but it has to be effective. I can't really say that AVB's style was effective in the league so far this season. We started ok, but seemed to start sliding backwards in terms of being defensively solid, whilst always struggling with creativity. For our points haul last season, it's tough to look past Bale blasting us home -- we still had the same struggles in attack, although we were a bit better defensively (no 0-3 or 0-5 home losses or 6-0 away defeats). We have made very little progress with our system or style of play, certainly not compared to Rodgers, Pochettino or Martinez.
That being said, I'd quite like to see Bielsa offered the gig. Not just because he's attack minded, I just fancy his methods to be effective in this league, at a club with our resources. It'd be f**king interesting!
