Kyle Walker-Peters

I think Poch is managing him well. For all the love on here, KWP has a few mistakes in him. It hasn't cost us. But if it did, this place would be in melt down. He needs to refine his game, which he is doing. But I agree he needs games to kick on, maybe with us. But Poch clearly believes Tripper is the better option at the moment.

Of course he has mistakes in him. But I feel they wont be ironed out of his game until he gets a proper run of games. Its True Trippier has the trust at the moment. That is not a suprise for me. But I would like to see just them two alternate at that position for the rest of the season when Davies and Rose are back at left back.

Is KWP good enough though? Is he any better than those hot prospects Luke Young Alton Thelwell Tony Gardner Kyle Naughton Steve Caulker 2CV etc?

No (my opinion), KWP is a decent player, nothing magic, likely to have a decent lower PL career, not good enough for modern Spurs ...

People will get angry as we all like academy players, but he's been around first team for a while, has had games, had decent games, but the fact that he can't push a out of form Trippier and Aurier for a spot says a lot ...

I could not disagree with you more.

I note that KWP has 6 league appearances for Spurs including 3 starts. Significantly the 3 starts were in his natural position at right back which as you guys know I have always been clamouring for. In the first 2 starts he was voted man of the match, both games against Saudi Sportswashing Machine. In his third start against Bournemouth he had a hatrick of assists while his 4th and 5th league appearances were of 12 minutes and 2 minutes respectively.

And that's fine .. its all opinion and spotting/validating talent is something people who's job it is fudge up as often as they get right.

Some people see something KWP, I don't, but then I thought Ronaldo was a one trick pony who could only do stepovers when he arrived at United .. (always thought Bale was special)

Still cannot understand why the kid has never gone out on loan. We have decent cover at full back with both Dier and Sissoko able to fill in for injuries to the incumbent two.

Because the loan route hasn't turned out successfully for any player since Walker nearly a decade ago? Kane and Mason broke through inspite of the poor loan experiences, not because of them.

A poor loan can be character building in it's own way.

Maybe put the drum away and we send him out on loan for a bit eh? Nowhere near ready.
Loans are not generally the Poch way. Sadly if Poch rates him we'll have to put up with these mistakes - and hope that Kane has not missed 5 semi/decent chances in the game and the the shots that hit the woodwork go in too.
