Mauricio Pochettino - Sacked

both now IMO

there are players today would want to leave the club regardless of manager... hence why they didn’t sign a contract (Toby)
Then there are players we don’t want in rose and aurier
And Jan which is an odd one

why of why are a team that’s come off the back off a CL final, with the best stadium and training set up on the world having players that want to leave. And we’re not talking top top players anymore

it has to come from the man in charge

Three or four maximum yet they keep getting picked, it says it all he was the best manager we have had in a generation and I now can’t stand the sight of him and want him out yesterday, it’s gone to far there is no coming back from this for him

he is an amazing manager
But he still hasn’t won anything
He is at a mega club and he has us now really set on a mission to either crumble or recover

he is learning but his stubbornness (a commonly raised issue) is hurting him

That slide from Jan in the box... sliding on his ass... sliding... tripping up Delofeu... just like Son against Moses at Wembley. That was a pen, that was 2-0. Game over.

disagree on the output
Play Sanchez and Foyth at CB
Play Foyth Rb
Play Davies LB
He has options
Play Tattanga at CB (yeah i can’t spell his name)... he looked miles better than any of our current crop pre season

Sanchez and Foyth: apart from in a dead-rubber CL last group stage game two years ago, have they played together in any other serious match? Would you trust Foyth next to another relative novice?
Foyth playing two positions at once might be a bit much for the poor guy! Ok, being serious, what makes you think Foyth will cut it at RB in the PL? What attributes do you see from his game that makes you think he'd be better than, say, Sissoko there?
Davies is no better or worse than Rose overall....see his recent games..
Pre-season can make a lot of young players look better than they are, but i agree we could try, though that should have been what the league cup was for:mad:

way way way too comfortable

Toby is almost untouchable for spurs fans but he was atrocious again

Jan has generally been an outstanding loyal servant but right now is gash

and on the kane thing he made a lot of runs first half as did Dele and no one passed to them or attempted too

Kane was also everywhere but in the box for England . He’s lethal in the box need to get him in there more. Striker is a lonely position getting the ball or not gotta keep making runs.

None of them are playing well

That’s my problem he is not learning, he is making the same mistakes time and time again.

Foyth genuinely cannot be any worse than what we’re seeing right now
The guy can play and knows what his job is, but yeah he is inexperienced

were struggling and we have decided to not have our best striker playing striker

He spend a year playing a diamond expecting different results losing the players in the process, and has spend the last few weeks changing formation and tactics every 30 minutes it seems losing them even more so take your pick.

the players are possibly confused

but that doesn’t excuse a lack of effort

But that’s where it all starts to go round in circles, the lack of effort is most certainly caused by the manger, if it was just the three or four it’s a different scenario, none of them look like they give a brick.

There was a Spurs Show podcast link posted by @Mikey10 a week or so ago, seemingly - i haven't listened myself yet -saying many of the senior the players, including Kane, had had enough of Poch and his methods, with pre-CL final comments being the last straw.

What are people's view on the Podcast now we're back from the international break and after the game today?

Haven’t heard it but I never trust anyone’s comment when their not people in the game or at the club

The Spurs Show guys are always a week behind glory-glory. They know nothing.

The midweek training photo's reeked of propoganda, as if to say "look we are all together in this", but this performance has blown that idea to brick.

Right now, I genuinely feel like the guy is trying to engineer his way out of the job. Picking a 352 against the worst team in the league at home is bizarre but not unusual for Poch as he's done it before in previous seasons. Having a pop at the fans though, that's usually one of the signs of a manager who doesn't give a brick anymore. Yes, fans can be fickle and will be up and down, but so long as a manager keeps on the right side of them they (the fans) will come back around. If that manager speaks out against the fans, they rarely warm back up to the manager.

As for the game though; I turned up today and saw the lineup and told my mate "if we concede first this place is gonna go to brick real fast" and it did just that. We just do not look organised out there irrespective of who we have on the field nor what formation we are playing, half the players don't seem to know who they are responsible for when pressing nor when marking.

On the attacking side, it's almost as if it's completely improvised, like there is no pattern of play. I was sitting in the south stand watching the players warm up playing some sort of 7v3 game (3 CBs against the 2 FBs, Sissoko, Kane, Dele and Lucas) and the lads couldn't muster one good opportunity at half pace. They were trying to beat 3 defenders with a cross and after 6-7 attempts hadn't worked the keeper once. That's either brick because the player's can't manage it at half pace or brick because they can't be bothered to warm up like they mean it.

All in all, I don't think the players are up for it anymore and Poch will not change that. What's more, I don't think Poch is particularly bothered either.
