Well that list is pretty shocking indictment of films this year if that’s the top ten!
How can a film that is rated 5.8 on average, out of 10, get in the top ten rated movies? What was No Time to Die rated? Also how is it rated? As the films are not rated in the rating order implied by the list description.
Free Guy was one of my favourite films this year.
I’m wondering now whether cinemas will close again. Im booked to see Spider-Man No Way Home on Wednesday but will they allow crowds of people to events like that?

I don't think the ratings matter, it's about popularity. Probably based on how many have voted for them. Half that list is utter garbage.
Still a pretty sad indictment. Not very good films make all the money. (Not counting dune in that).
But it's the way cinema has gone. It's more about the experience than watching a good story. We all have large tv's at home where we can watch good films at our leisure. To get your bum off the chair and go to watch in the cinema means an event film. Large explosions, cgi. Doesn't have to be great but domething the whole family can watch. Superhero films especially marvel you know what you are going to get.
The sad bit is that other films struggle to get made. It seems now a days it's only small indie films on a tiny budget or huge blockbusters with nothing much in between. Streaming services trying to produce content are filling the gap a bit though.
I just sat through this. It is sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow.Power of the Dog on Netflix is very much worth a watch guys & gals
I need to Google The Green Knight in the morning, so I can figure out what I just sat through.
Well watchable. I wasn't aware of the poem, so you'll understand it better. Was it good. I know the story through the legend and heard they had actors play multiple roles and that. Was it good or a bit ott on the artistic bit?

A few times it threatened to be good, but was disappointing and odd in places... I read up on it afterwards to try and work out WTF and it appears they did use the poem a LOT as the source and indeed, the poem has some crappy bits. Could have been a much better film if they had made a proper story out of it that made sense. Was it good. I know the story through the legend and heard they had actors play multiple roles and that.
