Plur1bus episode one done and it already looks like it’s going to be Vince Gilligan’s next magnum opus…
Just caught up with the first 2 episodes last night.

That scene where she's talking with the others on the aircraft (kept vague for spoiler reasons)..... That's how life feels for me most of the time.

The P. Diddy doc on Netflix is very well made - was gonna say 'good' but given the subject matter thought better of it

Netflix buying Warner Bros. Not good.

The side issue that interests me is whether getting the religious zealots in charge of Warner out of the way will mean Ken Russell's The Devils will finally get a full uncut release. The BBFC past it years ago (it showed once on Channel 4), but Warner's owners keep it locked away on blasphemy ground.

Bit like Caligula in the fact it was more controversial than it was any good

I like Caligula too, but some of the content makes it hard.

From what I've heard, there was always tension between the director of Caligula (who had an artistic vision) and the producers (who wanted an adult film). And I think the director pretty much just gave up half way through. Apparently the new cut last year managed to recover a lot of the noble heart of it, and ditched most of the softcore inserts. I've not seen it yet though.

The Devils though was always a singular vision of a great director. It just happened to rub the Christian Nationalists at Warner up the wrong way. Del Toro has recently spoken about this malignity: https://filmstories.co.uk/news/the-...des-to-get-controversial-film-released-in-4k/
