*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United ***

It's sort of a bit on Ange if you are expecting a keeper who is not great with his feet to pass out from the back and invite the press. You just know what Liverpool will do on Sunday.
But you also know what we will do
Tonight it cost us goals but not the game
Forster has been fine ish in all the other games and it was him who decided to go long after

Not let Utd dominate after we concede. Slow the game, change what is causing us problems and see out a 3-1 boring final 20-25 mins.

An odd (biased?) analysis. The issue to you is not the two goals donated to them by the keeper. It is that they threw everything at us in a cup game. And us without many players to bring on, just held on? You wanted us to play out more?

I have said in other threads but we really seem to have the most brainless players. What was going through Forsters mind for those 2 goals? Even little kids are taught when to play the ball or just smash it clear. I know its not Anges fault that our keeper gave them 2 goals but any other manager would have made subs when we went 3-0 up. They made the subs and the flow of the game changed. It should have been the cue for Ange to make some subs and break up the momentum then.

How is it biased? Game after game we throw away leads. We don't learn. We don't have to stick to the same tactics at 0-0 as at 2-0 or 3-0 and especially not when the opponent is dominating.

I hope Postercoglu and the team apologise to all the dissapointed people on here for winning, it must ruined Christmas for them, hopefully Liverpool will beat us and give them a chance to have a great moan.
I can be happy, relieved and angry at the same time.
You cannot be serious in terms of how we had a hand in that, and think that's fine??! This madness of luck will not continue......

Okay lets try this approach: what would you have done differently?

I just don't like the way he doesn't do anything from the sidelines. I can't understand that watching us play like that, he's got no wisdom to impart to his players.

Shaking your head and folding and unfolding your arms are not the tactical adjustments needed.

Has he just seriously asked if we're not entertained and would prefer a 1-0?

Ange doesn't want him to smash it clear. I'm sure I have seen a training video with Ange telling off a keeper for doing that.

I think people need to just change what they expect of Son. He's adapting his game to the fact he is undoubtedly going to be less explosive and he will cover less ground. He is starting to find those pockets to be more effective in a different way. He's still an intelligent player and a world class finisher.

I think it’s both that and the system we are using doesn’t utilise Son as he used to play. It’s been tweaked to allow him to cut in and I think that even dates back to our match against Brentford. It must be tough as the tweak means that we can lose our width and the middle can become overly congested but we need to then have Udogie/Spence staying wide to fill in which then leads to one of our central midfielders needing to be aware of when cover will be needed at left back.
