***OMT TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR v nottingham forest***

It’s a strong team on paper
But not on energy
And as I’ve said loads we started with 10 men cos we have a ghost ok the left
Against a low block you need to be smarter and we wasted so much ball by not passing quickly
Kulu was bad too and that hurts us as he is the attacking driver
It will be worst potentially vs wokves with the loss of Spence and Drago
It's more than that.
It just feels like an excuse.
Ange has just said we aren't struggling with energy.

Exactly it's all rubbish excuses from fans and Ange. He's got the youth but won't use them.

Deal with what you've got, but he's stubborn and the football actually isn't entertaining at all.

I preferred Conte and Mourinho football to this. It's so boring.
It isn't rubbish. I'll give you an example. You probably haven't got the faintest clue about cross country skiing, but here we go.
Around this time of year, there is a competition called tour de ski. About 7 or 8 races in a row, finishing with a gruelling stage that finishes going UP a alpine skiing track.
If its an Olympic year or world championship, almost none of the best skiers participate in tour de ski. Those who do, stand no chance in the coming Olympics or World championships, even though that's 2 months away. They feel fine but that schedule has them a couple of percent down, and it makes a massive difference.

Thought we looked really disjointed going forward, a lot bad decisions, late decisions and a lack of aggression.
Most of it for me is down to son but I don't think Sarr and Bentancur worked, didn't seem on the same wavelength.

🙄 he might wanna tell Son that.

So what's the problem then? Cos that was the line I was convincing myself of. It doesn't bode well
Sonny was a great player in a counter attacking side
brick when we oaky posseison ball
His first touch for a guy who could finish like he could was generally poor and it’s worse now because against low blocks thag toxuh means he needs a second to get it out

To cover arses and to take all the blame on him
That's just another excuse.

The question was "you said the team is lacking energy"
Ange "I didn't say that. You're putting words in my mouth. I said we needed to show energy"

Ange has never been shy talking about issues and shortcomings. If he felt we were tired, he'd say it. He said the opposite.

I haven’t seen the post match to comment TBH

All you naysayers just didn't believe hard enough, ffs guys get it together!

I only caught the 2nd half from 60 onwards. Didn't create anything. Also lost Spence unnecessarily and Dragu to injury. I'm absolutely amazed Bentancur didn't pick up a booking but clearly he's saving up his holiday for a more convenient time.

I wonder if Ange saw that Nuno took off a winger for a CB, and closed out the game with a clean sheet, or if it just doesn't register because it's not the morally righteous way to play football.....

It suggests the players might no longer be brought in to what we're doing.

Add that to kulu's interview a few days ago, and the comments in the past and the rumours about players being unhappy with how open we play.
It doesn't paint a happy or pretty picture. :/

I'm not sure they ever did.

Today was a typical Spurs under Ange performance, we've seen it 40 odd times in the last year.

Unable to penetrate, too many turnovers, easy to get in behind.
