Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

Dreadful that......

Cnuts everywhere unfortunately, like when Eleanor Williams beat herself up with a hammer and three blokes who were wrongly accused tried to take their own lives. One of them spent 73 days in jail with sex offenders.

Such is the world we live in that such people exist
Accept this is yet another example where the police and CPS continue with a waste of time by an attention seeker because they attach themselves to a particular religion that can never be criticised because of well meaning liberals(you and others) and some frankly nefarious evil so called liberals.

SO what was the excuse for Eleanor Williams case were an innocent man spent 73 days in prison with sex offenders? Is being a chav a religion?

It was not because he was Muslim. It is because all accusations have to be considered. Stop making stuff up based on a loose analysis by Kelvin Macknezie who you copied this from here

Yep and that was equally wrong to cover it up. And there was justifiable anger from the public for the decision to cover it up.

The reports were rampant for years but were ignored by media and police. He died and they got outraged. That happened as the media finally had to lead with it as the noise got loud.

We have an issue with men raping kids. Brown raping white girls. However the majority of pedo convictions by percentage are white men. The focus of this now seems to be Pakistani gangs.

So the victims are the same. The crime is committed more often by one group than any other. But they are focusing on Pakistanis as it is driven by racism.

My view is all those MEN need to be locked away for ever. I don't think there is one race or ethnicity is worse than any other. And I've never seen any evidence to prove it otherwise.

Anyway the problem isn't which religion they are. The churches, and jehovas have both been found to have made cover ups.
It's the prosecution service failing us. If there is a crime it should be investigated. No matter who you are. If found guilty. Punished. If foreign born deported.

Agreed. But it has not been framed like this. And people on this forum have insisted that it is only a brown/pakistani issue because of culture.

However when we know white men are the worst convicted offenders then that asks the question if it's cultural or just men.

Unlike those posters (not you) I'm not a dimwitted racist who gets his stats from X and Tik tok and doesn't verity.

I can see it is an issue with men being horrific clams.

They won't even accept they've got their stats wrong. Not even to themselves it seems.

Foreign born isn't a legal status.

The stat that never really gets the attention it deserves is that by far the greatest perpetrators of child sex abuse are the kids' own grandfathers. It's not stranger danger, its usually much closer to home.

Exactly. To quote spotlight

If it takes a village to raise a child, it takes one to abuse one

That's not how it works. We are looking at the percentage of offenses. The highest proportion is white men.
There is an issue with the numbers in that ethnicity has not always been recorded. So whilst the figures might give an indication, they can’t be relied on as a true picture.
Newsnight* dedicated an episode to the topic of *struggle cuddle*-gangs (as that’s what they are, not “grooming” gangs) the week before last (on the Thursday nigjht I think). The numbers for Pakistani men %-wise were obviously a lot less then that for white offenders but they did say the number was high when compared to the overall Pakistani population here. But again without ethnicity always being recorded the stat is not very useful and I wonder if it is authorities where there is a high proportion of non-white residents who are doing the recording.
* I would highly recommend searching out the episode on iPlayer, it’s about half an hour long. There were 4 or 5 survivors speaking, some for the first time publicly, and it was heartbreaking but also made me very angry,to hear their stories.
It seems the biggest issue by far is that these girls were treated as worthless by all the authorities who should have been looking out for them. They were seen as prostitutes, effectively and even when they tried to report what was happening they were ignored - or even worse, threatened with prosecution.
One victim was asked by her rapists to bring other girls along with her and she was then charged - and convicted - of procuring underage girls for sex and she is still now fighting to be taken off the sex offenders register.

I worry that the report coming out now will lead to more violence by those just looking to make trouble and it will be politicised and all the while the victims that everyone proclaims to care about will be seen as afterthoughts.

You're last couple of paragraphs are for me what we should be focusing on and the fact that we aren't is a scandal.
The only common criteria is that they are men and they are abusers, everything else is irrelevant.
The outrage over any other characteristic is nothing other than a cloak for the authorities to hide their criminal lack action and accountability under.
This will be almost entirely men, it took a senior woman police officer to blow the Manchester/north West case iirc, and call me a jaded old cynic but how many of them didn't believe because they didn't think there was that much wrong with what was happening.
It's a power thing.

The real issue we need to get to the bottom of is why this was at best ignored or worse allowed to happen.

The cover up started by pointing in a different direction, race, refocus on where it should be, accountability, what did you do to stop this.
