we have made really good progress on firearms trafficking and fire arms offences nationally (inc London) but knife enabled crime is up to pre Covid levels where it was climbing. So: your chances of being involved in a weapon-enabled attack in London is higher than it ever has been. Your chances of dying from said attack have reduced significantly not only due to the switch from firearms to knives but also due to advances in medicine.View attachment 20629
...those figures for knife offences ... Are they incidents when I knife has been used or does it include a stop and search, for example, and a knife was found to be on person or in vehicle etc?

All knife offences likely. Does appear there's been a drop in hospital admissions for knife and gun related crime for 2025 over 2024 so hopefully theyve started to make progress on the knife front as well this year but its certainly been a rising concern for a good while prior.
