At the very least say it, but sandwich it between “I’m not racist but…” and “I can’t be racist, my cats black”.

Just deleted my only social media account. I just honestly can’t be doing with being surrounded by negativity and blatant racism anymore. It’s tiresome and after a while clearly affects my mood.

Honestly feeling like social media is the worst thing that ever happened to society. People now using tragedy to push agendas. Society is fudging disgusting.

And in the aftermath of any attack my Mrs (who chooses a head covering) gets sworn at when out. Without fail. And the culprits fit a certain demographic. The reason we don't go is that if I'm with her and it happens I'm going to jail and/or hospital. I've a lot of patience but not for cowardly racists.

That really sucks! My wife was born in the UK but she’s originally from Hong Kong, as are both of her parents. The worst we have had to put up with is the odd disapproving look (sometimes from Chinese people) but that’s where it ends. No one has ever said anything. I’m not comparing our situation in any way. I totally get why you would just not want the hassle sometimes and choose to stay in.
