And Streeting won't win a majority at the next election, which is the non-Burnham route.

For Burnham though it's maybe not the worst thing. He's better coming in as the white knight with 1-2 years before the GE rather than 3-4 years. They mystique and freshness will be more in place.

Streeting won't win Illford. He scraped it against Leanne last time. It is far from a safe seat. Going in to a GE with Starmer in charge would be the gateway to reform and fascism.
 
I wonder if the Burnham votes will all swing to Polanski (who is considering standing), rather than the Pink Tory stooge the NEC will put up
 
Also, will Badenoch take the Tories to their lowest polling in centuries after her new revelation on Desert Island Discs? Her favourite band is Wet Wet Wet!

They definitely didn't focus group that, unlike Starmer with Orange Juice and Cameron ("and its West Ham Villa I'm supposed to say I support in football, yeah?") with the Smiths.

I doubt that's true. I imagine she AI-ed 'what was a popular music composition from my teenage years' in advance of her appearance on the show, and that was what the slop gave her.
