Statement from Valencia :
In regards to the footage from the stands at Arsenal's stadium being shared on social media, Valencia CF:
1. Publicly condemns and expresses its utter disgust and absolute intolerance, as it always has, towards these isolated gestures coming from the visitor stands which in no way represent the Valencian fanbase.
2. Is working alongside its legal team and the appropriate authorities to identify those responsible and, in the case that they are VCF season-ticket holders, to take corresponding disciplinary action, for which it asks for the collaboration and cooperation of other fans present in said stand.
3. While these actions are completely unjustifiable under any circumstances, VCF is also working to obtain more information about any possible provocations leading up to the verbal and gesticular exchange between the home and away stands.

That #3 is concerning in that saying on one hand that this behaviour is unjustifiable whilst on the other hand trying to see if their fans were provoked into it, sounds to me like looking for a way to find a justification. Dangerous ground but one we are all too familiar with in the Yid debate.
Maybe they are saying Woolwich fans were also exhibiting similar behaviour, in which case that needs to be investigated on its own merits. There will always (one would expect) be some level of provocation between home and away fans. It's up to fans, as individuals and as a group, to be able to deal with that without resorting to violence, racism or any other illegal behaviour.

Uh wut? In the video you can clearly hear the home fans expressing their disgust, telling the Valencia clams to fudge off.
You can hate the Goons, but typically they aren't cut from the same cloth as Chelsea or West Ham fans.

I'm not saying they (Goons) were doing anything wrong. It's Valencia implying they might have been. I am just positing that even if they had been, it is irrelevant to how the Valencia fans acted and Valencia as a club shouldn't be trying to draw any potential equivalance as a justification for the vile actions of their own fans.

Footballs got no place to feel sorry for itself here. They don't do enough on racism when the game harbours players and ex players who are proven racists.
Peter Beardsley given 7 month ban for calling someone a monkey and I will continue to harp back to Suarez and Terry being proven as racists and given a throw away ban.
Commercial over action as proven accross the board, therefore until the game does more internally there is no sympathy from me.
