Sales

Dele for effectively free, Lucas for free (we had option to pickup 1 year extension, Aurier & Doherty cancelled contracts, rumour is we will do Lloris a solid, I think we got over the have to get the most out of value brick a while ago.

Especially as a lot of these players are in the last year to 18 months of contract.

Yeah, but it's the like of Højbjerg I was thinking about, the ones that do have a value and are wanted by other clubs, but I hope you are right.

Waiting for the jackpot... Dier sold!
I have a feeling he will stay unless he is unwilling to accept a back up role partly due the turnover we will have in that position. I think Tanganga and Rodon have to go to get game time (and their wages are hopefully reasonable enough to attraxt suitors) and Davies might not fit either lb or cb in a 4.

So likely Winks & Sanchez out for ~£20M

Lucas, Winks, Sanchez, Lenglet, Danjuma off the wages
Will be good to see Lloris off the wage bill and Perisic too, not sure we have a role for him but they must both be on top whack for our budget

Reggie and Gil both have interest from Spain and Forest are interested in Sessegnon apparently, Plus talk that PEH could go too.

Add those to Lloris and Perisic as mentioned above and the other obvious candidates such as Tanganga, Rodon, N'Dombele and maybe Lo Celso and it is starting to become a much needed summer clear out!

I completely forgot about Reggie!

And I don't think we are in a really bad place if some of them end up staying, within reason. Hugo and Perisic look nailed on to leave based on the keeper signing and Solomon which basically means no place for either now. But if we ended up with say Udogie and Reggie fighting for LB in a 4-3-3 thats not the worse.

I think we will see a combination of some of those we think are leaving staying, some new faces and some high level clears too. Somewhere in the middle

There are quite a few players we have amassed over the last few years that have been sent out on loan or hardly used who may make comebacks.

I was going to list them as a couple imo have delivered no worse than some incumbents who have had more opportunities, but wouldn't want to derail the thread :D

Seems about right, 2 of our top 7 (although Kulu and Maddison may be in there and I'd be offering Bentancur a new deal once he's proven his fitness!)

How reliable is this? Where does the data come from?

Dier, Davies especially seem too high. A lot of our pay is performance related. So likely they only hit those figures if we qualify for the CL etc.

Ndombele, Perisic, PEH, Lloris, Dier, Davies best part of 40m a year in wages!

Doesn't look that accurate. Ndombele isn't on the same as Kane. Lloris is supposed to be one of our biggest earners along with Son and Kane.

I DannyRosed Tottenham wages and this one had the easiest one to paste

I saw a few others sites with similar figures but they didn't have Ndombele in there, I think as out on loan. I also expected Lloris to be on more and Dier and Davies on less, happy to see something more accurate but for the purposes of my posting Lloris and Perisic do appear to be amongst our top earners in most (unvalidated) sources I have seen.

Alot is speculated I would imagine but like you say there is also a huge bonus structure in place, one of the best in football above basic wages. Kane apparently is on a ridiculous goal bonus which effectively doubles his annual salary (deserved). Ndombele was widely touted as being on the top wages with him at 200k, I think its even mentioned by his agent somewhere when it came to discussing loans. Davies got a bumper new deal under Jose which he said was deserved and Perisic was a free so stacks up that he is paid a whack.

Highlights some of our issues though, some are paid well above their grade IMO

Interesting that four of our highest earners are those that most would not want anywhere close to the first team in Tanguy, Lloris, Dier and Perisic. Especially when paired with our tradition of the higher cost transfers generally being the most nightmare-ish in terms of outcome (Richy the latest example who I strongly hope can turn it around).

On the sales front I wonder if the potential Soloman signing will allow us to make some permanent sales. It absolutely didn't seem to be a priority position to me but if we can get deals for Gill and Perisic (not a left back and realistically too slow especially alongside Kane for a forward) , it makes sense if the new guy is more suited to what we're going for. More money to throw at the CB situation without a huge drop off in quality.

Still early days of course but we do still have the GLC / N'dombele axis of transfer doom that were the end of Poch hanging around as well.

Yeh 100% seems Solomon move that allows us to move on Perisic for sure, likely Gil too.

As you say the rest of the lone rangers can then be dealt with and clear even more money off the wages. Long time coming for some
