Emirates Marketing Project expected to re-sign Burnley's Trafford​

Emirates Marketing Project are expected to re-sign James Trafford from Burnley.
Saudi Sportswashing Machine had agreed a fee for the goalkeeper, but City triggered a matching clause in Trafford's contract over the last 24 hours, leaving the Tyneside club powerless.
City are set to pay £27m for the 22-year-old, who they sold to Burnley for £14m in 2023, which means this deal is effectively costing them £13m.

The deal agreed with Burnley was worth around £31m plus add-ons, but the price has been reduced for City due to a sell-on clause they inserted in Trafford's contract.
Trafford has agreed a five-year contract plus an option year and will compete with Ederson for the no. 1 shirt under Pep Guardiola.
Trafford has been given permission to take a medical.
Stefan Ortega is expected to leave City but nothing is close. Burnley have been interested in him.
City are understood to be pleased with an effective buy-back option being fruitful for them for one of their academy players, and may feel it is increasingly important to have that option when they sell.
 
I hadn't noticed that the two former Spurs connections behind the scenes there are leaving/have left.
Darren Eales stepping down following a blood cancer diagnosis and Paul Mitchell going after less than a year, partly citing Eales' departure.
Not replaced yet so it's a body blow for the club at a time when they are trying to step up and back their claims of big stature.

There's Jota as well - don't know whether Liverpool were planning to ship him out or not, but that's another solid player to replace nonetheless.
 
Going to be very funny when they replace Isak with Calvert Lewin on a free as he is the only player who would go there
 

'Disaster window continues for Saudi Sportswashing Machine'​

"It's been a disaster. They wanted to strengthen but have been held back by finances.
"They had money to spend and were looking to add a goalkeeper, central defender, right winger and a forward. They have only added a right winger in the form of Anthony Elanga.
"If Alexander Isak goes, they would need another forward. They will not let him go until they have a top-level replacement.
"By my last count, it was eight players they have lost out on. The likes of Dean Huijsen, Liam Delap and Joao Pedro. The list goes on.
"The one at the top of the list right now is RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko. There is in internal fear that he prefers a move to Manchester United."

“The likes of João Pedro and Liam Dalap have gone to Chelsea. If Manchester United get Benjamin Sesko over the line, their front three next season, Bryan Mbuemo, Sesko and Matheus Cunha are three players that Saudi Sportswashing Machine liked and certainly tried and got far on with two of them in the shape of Sesko and Mbeumo.
“By my last count there was eight players that Saudi Sportswashing Machine have just missed out on, so it's been a bruising summer for them.
“I think this one will be the hardest one of all, seeing Benjamin Sesko join Manchester United.”

Such is the good relationship between Sesko and Leipzig, they were willing to accept United’s bid - despite Saudi Sportswashing Machine offering more.

If they accept Saudi Sportswashing Machine but refuse utd. He then says i'm not going to Saudi Sportswashing Machine. They either accept utd or don't sell.
They decided they wanted the money.
