My nephew made his U21 International debut today for Ireland. The game was abandoned because one of the Kuwati players called one of the Irish players a monkey. Disgraceful.
There are very few people who can do commentary on sports without feeling the need burden the world with their opinions on every subject under the sun, apart from naming horses they are pointless, I don't need one when I go to games why do I need one when watching on TV?
Absolutely. 100% the right thing to abandon the match. The comment was made to a substitute I beleive so likely within earshot of a bunch of people. Was about to like this post until I finished reading it. it's good they took a stand though!

I was offered a job on a call last Wednesday, hadn't heard any further details sinceSo after being out the game for a while and spending the last 3 years in Project Management I had an interview to get back into Travel looking after the sales and marketing for two hotels in London, early doors but I feel like I aced the interview to the point the head was giving me next interview coaching tips on what the Commercial Head wants to hear amongst other things. Getting a 2nd and final interview on the spot also felt good.
Don't wanna get too ahead of myself but felt very good coming off the back of that.

Where on earth do you sit in the stadium? As there are usually plenty of people more than happy to give a running commentary for anyone within earshot!

Messaged them today, oh sorry did we not tell you, we've filled the role internally
Cheers love hahahaha
...I had a call back and have the second interview on property today at 3pm
Good luck, hope it goes well for you.
I was told I was going to be 'paid off' in December, it dragged on on till March. Garden leave ends 1st of July. Yes the job market is totally bizarre (well it is to an old bloke like me).
Its a strange market at the minute, I got paid out in December and have taken a break as managing a staff of 200 and taking them through a redundancy process takes alot out of you and I also have luckily had the benefit of being able to take my time to look.
But since I poked my head back in the job market seems abit of a mess, the whole, too many jobs not enough people seems at a certain level, at others there seems to be alot of moving and alot of options for employers. I have used linkedin Jobs to source leads but try to then mine out who the contacts are rather than use their system, some jobs have 200+ applicants.
Luckily this job I was recommended for, going in early too so can maybe form the role...I had a call back and have the second interview on property today at 3pm
Managing the redundancy process is very stressful if you have built a team and have a good relationship with your staff.

Not unless you're basically a chilled-out entertainer.Managing the redundancy process is very stressful if you have built a team and have a good relationship with your staff.

Been doing the same for two years now. Will certainly encourage my boys to follow suit.I made a decision many years ago that i would always work for myself and not tie myself to be employed by others. It was not always easy and i may have made more money working for others but i have been self employed for the vast majority of my time and never had to accept brick from employers or companys.
