So, what happened today?

In today’s news.

The nazi bar analogy in real life.

I’ve been a fan of BrewDog over the years, they make some great stuff, but this isn’t the first example of shocking judgement from their management.

You let one of these fudgers into your pub, you invite the whole damn swarm.
They have done some very odd things over the years, bet its a toxic work environment.

Think I had like 50 quids worth of shares in them as a present one Xmas. Their beer in the Brighton pub they have is awful, they got funny with me when I slung out the slice of orange they put on top of my ale.

Could somebody please stop with this ridiculous phase we're in !!

Now experts are asking whether milk is racist as part of a tax-payer funded research project into connections between milk and colonialism

Walked into an exhibition about milk at the Wellcome collection - the curators seemed to be incredibly offended by it. But the did have some “watch out watch out there’s a Humphrey about” items from the 70’s so it was well worth it.

Wasn't sure where to put this.

My 11 year old is finishing up school for the year. They have an activity book to express their feelings and stuff. The sort of thing that's good to see in this day and age but would have been derided in my day. Anyway, end of school year and he brings it home last night so I take a nose through it to see how badly I've f**ked him up. The scale of the mental torture I've inflicted is there for all to see - I'd be lying if I said I wasn't proud though:

My fault probably, but my two and a half year old grandson is becoming Spurs obsessed! My daughter has bought him two Spurs shirts and he runs about shouting "Come on You Spurs!"
I didn't mean to inflict Tottenham on him, but it's his choice! What is funny is that his father is a Utd fan. :D

Gotta ask what the hell you were doing allowing your daughter to marry a United fan? Dereliction of fatherly duty right there.

Today, tomorrow, maybe even yesterday.
Anyway, 30th of June 29 years ago and 35 years ago my brother married his wife (doh!) and I married the love of my life and the best wife a man could ever have!
So us four and my dad have been out celebrating.
The beer did flow, the Irish coffee's were sipped and the Black Label was savoured while we reminisced over the good times only family can understand.
It's nights like this that make getting old not so bad.
Oh, and my 88 year old dad might be a tiktok sensation tomorrow, or today.
Fudge I'm confused!

Congratulations mate, sounds like a good night. Hopefully this morning isn’t too bad!

Is my wife’s sister in laws brother her brother in law?

Never thought about this. Should be a dedicated term.

Had one of the weirdest, strange and unbelievable nights out!
Went to walking Street in Pattaya with my Thai brother in law, his (and my wife's) sister and, a friend. First we went to a gogo club, which was pretty OK. Lots of stunning girls 😊. After that he took us to another venue in the back streets of Pattaya, and what went on there is the most bizarre, hilarious and weird things I've ever seen!

It was just insane! It was a small club with a stage in the middle, and seating all around, and the show was equally shocking, hilarious and sad at the same time! The show consisted of girls blowing out candles with their pussy, pulling out strings with razor blades, shooting ping pong balls etc! It's the weirdest thing I think I'll ever experience! It was hilarious, but at the same time It made me sad that people have to resort to this kind of thing to make a living.
And who actually came up with that idea in the first place? Absolute bizarre! There's so much more I could say about it, but I'm actually a bit lost for words!

One of the disabled people I work for/with loves a football team that is in the Norwegian second division (Kongsvinger) - and we make this very local newspaper at my job, she loves writing about her team - so I sent them a mail and asked if we could come visit - and sure enough, we could! So we went there today. Got to watch them train, got to meet the coach and all the players, had our little interview, took pictures, got scarves from them and even got a bit of inside info on a signing from the man in charge! A lovely day at work, I have to say, and my disabled colleague was beyond herself with joy for having met "the boys" she adores. :)

That for me is just huge and a brilliant story
We had good news today in that my wife doesn’t have skin cancer which we we told she did have
But now my wife is angry at the manner in which the consultant didn’t tell her enough info about some other things
Lesson learned… don’t go to the hospital with someone who works with Drs and Consultants for a living as they know when they are being fobbed off

Very glad all is ok with your wife.

Your post reminded me of a friend of ours who is a nurse. When her dad was in the Royal London after suffering a stroke she always wore her uniform when visiting him. Just so the staff knew not to try to fob her off and also so they knew she knew what care her dad should be getting.
