So, what happened today?

Its in the City
Business lunches for upto 6 people are allowed
My colleagues have been in for weeks in the office and are doing this on a regular basis with clients, brokers, etc
I thought all business meetings were ok, regardless of venue?

assume interally in the office its fine, but if going for lunch in a Tier 2 area you're restricted to 6? Tbh, who the fudge knows anymore.
Not sure. I know someone who pays far more attention to this stuff than I do was using it to ensure his offices still had a Christmas party have an important business meeting that ran late.

I'm sure I heard somewhere that families were creating limited companies to ensure they could have their very important business meeting on the 25th. May be gonads.

They were quite crafty where we went yesterday for lunch
We ordered food and drinks, when we had finished eating the waitress asked if we were staying, we said yes we wanted to if we could
She said in that case what they needed to do was leave 2 of our empty plates on the end of the table in case they got checked
We stayed from 1pm until just before 5pm

You sure it ended at 5 mate?

Literally waiting for plaster to dry, have to have it painted for Monday so bathroom can be finished by Christmas.Got a heater in there but it was stripped back to brick in some places so parts are taking an age.

Got a new tv recently and decided to go back to sky about a month ago, as my now tv and bt sports sub was costing the same as their black Friday deal (although now tv automatically offered me half price when i went to cancel o_O). Not just the cost though it would be nice to record things and rewind them when someone interrupts. Booked earliest installation with time for Christmas.
Of course there’s no way of them giving you anything more than an 8 hour window, but anyway when the guy comes he looks at the old dish apologises but says they won’t let him reconfigure it for sky Q as it’s a ladder job over the roof of my single storey extension and requires 2 men. Sky call me back the next day to rebook and offer up mid Jan. I went nuts and said I would cancel as it was intended for Christmas, another offered me half price for 18 moths. I can also use sky go via the paystation to watch footy and won’t pay until it’s installed. So not quite a finger up the arse from a stranger but a reasonably productive day.

Got a parking ticket in my residential permit area because I didn't see a sign stating that at certain hours two days a week, it is reserved for local market vehicles. Parking warden's really are the worst. I never see them on my road but they clearly came out just for this two hour window to try and catch people out.

It depends really on how they are paid. If they are on a salary then targetting certain areas/times for the fun of it is wrong. If a fair chunk of their pay is based on how many tickets they issue, then you can't really blame them going where they are most likely to be able to issue tickets. If it's the latter, blame their employer.
(Sorry about your ticket btw, not intended to sound heartless towards that!).

Thought I felt a dodgy ear coming on on Wednesday...now I've got a double ear infection and as the day goes on my head feels like it's in a vice.:(

Been docs (actually the nurse) and prescription for some otomize (?) usuall gets on top of it, hope so with Xmas coming.

Not sure whether to blame Tyler, Carragher, or Sherwood...as obviously a bodily defence mechanism to the sh.it they spout.

Wednesday I had a parking warden approach me as I got out of my car, telling me that I couldn't park there. So instead of seeing me off and giving me a ticket, he saved me £90. Good guy.
