So, what happened today?

I developed rheumatoid arthritis a few years ago and had to stop all my fitness routines, running long distance, weight training etc.

Started doing this https://ddpyoga.com/pages/program21 and went plant-based. Fittest and leanest I've ever been. I can burn over 500cals in 40 minutes without stepping off the yoga mat at home. Used to be on a ton of drugs for my RA but going plant-based has put it in a state of remission and minimal medication. I was veggie for 12 years prior however cutting out dairy has meant maintaining fighting weight is a piece of tinkle as long as I lay off the junk food.

Fans of pro-wrestling may remember the creator of DDPY back in the day ;)

Wow !!!!

A man who has had both his legs amputated has completed a 13-hour crawl to the summit of Snowdon.

Paul Ellis, 56, from Widnes, Cheshire, said he was in good spirits after completing the nine-mile (14.5 km) Llanberis route on Friday.

He has so far raised more than £3,000 to send amputee children on holiday.

Mr Ellis suffered a spinal injury in a fall in 1992, leaving him in excruciating pain and unable to stand for more than few minutes at a time.

In 2008 he chose to have both legs amputated below the knee to gain more mobility.

The married father-of-two said: "I did the first three miles in about three hours... the last two miles took me more or less nine hours probably."

He said passers-by kept him going: "I've got a few blisters on my stumps, blisters on my hands... you're putting your wrist down all the time so my wrists got quite sore.

"But with all the support of the people on the mountain saying 'come on you can do it', that spurs you on.

"People are so generous, I ran out of water twice and people gave me water and food as well...

"I enjoyed it actually, it was a good day."

It was a big relief to reach the top: "I was made up," he said.

After reaching the summit, Mr Ellis then spent the night at the top of Wales' highest mountain.

Two members of the charity Amp Camp then brought his prosthetic legs to him and helped him walk back down on Saturday morning.

The first Kids Amp Camp, aimed at building fitness and confidence after an amputation, will take place in February, and will allow six children and their families to go on a paid holiday to Tenerife.

Mr Ellis also climbed Ben Nevis with a group of 10 other amputees earlier this month.

£3000 for doing that for a good is awful, when you look what "celebs" and "you tubers" can raise for crap.
The world really is nuts.

With the twentieth anniversary of 9/11 tomorrow it’s mad that neither of the female finalists competing for the US open in NY we’re born when this happened.

How time flies and good that it does.

20 years since 9/11

I starting watching Turning Point on Netflix lastnight
Still hits a raw nerve with me even 20 years on and spent most of the time watching it with tears in my eyes

Such a terrible event

Went to see Mary Poppins in the west end with my now 8 year old
Was brilliant
Also amazed at how gay soho is now. It was never as clear now. So much more obvious. She knows about the rainbows and same sex stuff so was quite intrigued

2 concerts this week
1 next week
1 the week after
Feels a bit more normal
Although the wife is complaining that we’re going go be out too much for the new dog :(

I'm going concert crazy next summer. Guns'n Roses, A-ha, Queen + Adam Lambert x 2, Iron Maiden, Faith no more, Deep Purple and a few other festival acts in about a month and a half.

Have no idea how I'll be able to fit work and family into all of this, but fudge that - I just wanna enjoy some live music again. Plus the wife is in on a few of the acts.
