Summer 2018 transfer thread

Ndombele in France looks a good replacement for Dembele based on the extensive scouting i done on YT - looks to have a better passing range coupled with the big mans strength on the ball and dribbling prowess

I think he is a really exciting prospect and another of those "Right up our street" type players.

All the links to us are tenuous, but for me I feel Zaha, Martial, Pulisic, Ndombele and Grealish all have a little of that "Typical Spurs..." flavour

Cool. Sounds good. Let's get him. How does it work - do we just post an ITK about him on SC and then Levy shells out if it gets enough informative ratings?

Has any player of proven top quality actually moved sides this summer? I don’t think so personally but I’d love someone to bring up a player I may have missed. We can’t do anything about other teams investing in their squads and it’s why people get it wrong so often hen predicting the season as they have no idea how existing players may feel and new ones too of course. We have seen almost every side of a window failing and also had some successes. No one seems to learn in football and least of all the fans when it comes to transfers

And on the subject if signings, all people are going off are poorly created rumours in the press and on anti-social media. Nothing is based in cold hard facts. No chairman has said I’ve turned down an offer from Spurs
I've got a hunch that most clubs are just a little cautious about paying the ridiculous fees that are now prevalent.

And when you are talking the 90-100m top players, unless your a bottomless pit Emirates Marketing Project or PSG, that is insane when looking at most clubs turnover, let alone their profit.

Yes we're in a gravy train era, but when even Richarlison is £50m the risk/reward profile stinks, and let's not lie, the risk you're taking is the whole club.

It's not hard to see how Bolton, Villa, Sunderland, Forest, Brum got in trouble and I can see Everton, West Ham, Palace potentially being next.

We are so lucky to have two of the smartest operators in the game.

Those two stay....we're ok.
