The Goon Thread

My mistake, the Olympiakos game was 13 days ago (I thought that it was last week). The 14 day incubation period will be up tomorrow, and the players should be fine if they have no symptoms.
But what about West Ham... they played arsenal last weekend so they have to be self isolating now so we can’t play them next Friday surely

But if the Woolwich players/staff that the West Ham players came into contact with have negative test results, then it would not be an issue and self-isolating would not/no longer be necessary?
Or am I missing a step?

They would need to not have come in contact with anyone who has it of course.... That’s not just players though

we will know by Friday I’m sure

I mean how is wolves going ahead tonight

Confirmed today that Olympiakos players have tested negative, but of course there might be other people that could potentially be impacted that Wolves might interact with?
Although it seems in any case that has no bearing as UEFA had said the game would go ahead anyway. $$$.

I see Getafe have refused to travel to Milan for their Europa game. Given that Italy is in lock down, that seems a perfectly reasonable stance to take. They asked for an alternative venue and UEFA said no.

I get it though
What the hell do UEFA do...
I mean they need to do something but way we they don’t causes them bigger and bigger problems and these are people who are fudgefards who share a brain cell

They will do everything they can to avoid cancelling the games
It’s odd that over here when we have a x chance to do the right thing we now to the ££

It is a question of when not if, we will probably be at (or close) to the stage where games are being played behind closed doors by then anyway.

But how can they ply behind closed doors and claim its fair... teams will have had home advantage with crowds and vice Versa

It is probably that or not finishing the season, which is also a distinct possibility
I can’t imagine a premier league chairman who has invested millions into his club allowing his team to get relegated without arguing about the closed door impact to his teams performance... think villa or Bournemouth for example. I’d be expecting that guy to sue for loss of earnings and been reasonably justified as they do have alternatives

Am I the only one thing this is yet again arsenal fixing the system
They can’t play tonight against a tough team looking for revenge after a derby defeat.... but they can play vs the mighty Brighton this weekend ;););)
Their praying for city to carry on in the CL and FA cup and to jot prioritise the league
This is exactly how I see it. We need to get someone infected so we can not play again until Son and Kane are back.
I’m sure Pep and Arteta will look after each other either way...if arsenal get CL that will help
Finance expensive moves for City cast offs, maybe a loan of a good player to square everything up for FFP

I would imagine that if this happens, there would be a PL meeting to decide how to resolve it. The same for the FL. But really this is all a distraction and secondary to public health. Within the next week, we will have a similar number of cases as France, Germany and Spain and I think that we will have similar measures in place.

We have to follow what’s being done in Europe otherwise we have no excuses
It cannot be that money wins
