The London Taxpayers' Stadium Shambles

It is not a laughing matter. The West Ham stewards and crowd think it is acceptable to punch an opposition fan in front of several children. Not one West Ham "fan" complains or intervenes about the man assaulting someone. Indeed many other "fans" join in as the victim is being escorted out of the ground. I hope the assailant, the steward and the club are prosecuted.

West Ham fans really are the knuckle dragging scum of the earth.

surely it was 2 west ham fans?

I don't know.

Either way it doesn't make it more acceptable. The days of taking the family to football and seeing this sort of thing are long gone. Except at the London stadium. It is horrible club that continues to attract this sort of scummy fan.

agree it's unacceptable but West Ham fans are famous for it, the stadium move wasn't going to change that

I didn't mean I laughed in that I thought it was hilariously funny and condoned it. You can still laugh/chuckle in disbelief at what you are seeing without agreeing with it.
That behaviour is obviously not acceptable.
But the stewards are clearly not sufficiently trained - or sufficiently paid - to deal with neanderthals like that and risk getting a thump themselves.
With the clip circulating on social media, I'd imagine he will find himself identified and banned.

Of course. I know.

The issue for me is that not enough people stand up and say this is wrong.

Of course, I have seen very occasional arguments at WHL (although I can not remember violence in recent times) and I have not intervened. I will in the future.

My mate went today and said its total brick. Views brick and facilities are equally bad.

Pockets of fights everywhere, my mate reckons the view is so bad and fans are not in comfort of Upton Park and the same faces, view is bringing boredom as fans don't feel inolved, brings agro, said it was rife

So does being a clam

Pretty simple..... don't punch someone even if the sport isn't great

Doesn't sound to me as if the stadium was ever designed for segregated crowds (understandable considering its intended use) and that they're struggling to make it so.
and they have not even played one of the clubs with a hardcore support yet, imagine what it will be like when Chelsea, United or us visit

I have good pals who go and watch them and they said last night the club has totally lost its identity and they hate going, the whole atmosphere is toxic currently

Serious question, (because I honestly don't know), but if there was a frequent repeat (and escalation) of today's aggro, is it beyond the realms of possibility that the club could have it's lease terminated?

Despite the stewarding not being the responsibility of the club, I'm not sure that our landlords are going to fancy being associated with the inevitable negative press that's going to follow today's stand off. I'd think that the situation will only escalate when the clubs with a more 'active' following come to town, and when word gets around how seemingly 'accessible' the place is, and the fact that there is a nonexistent Police presence in the bowl.

I know that the fallout from such a decision would have far reaching ramifications, but could a season of confrontations in the stands see either games played behind closed doors, or even see us out on the street without a home?

I suspect they're already on breach of their terms.

Let's hope it doesn't happen until their old dump is sold for gentrification. Then Orient can have the stadium they deserved and Spam can buy Brisbane Road from them.
