The Official 2018/19 Premier League Thread

Just checked re his time with Norwich, in his first season he got them placed 1 PL place higher than the previous season and then he was sacked at the start of April the next year with them 5 points above the relegation zone, yet they eventually went down that season.

Doesn’t sound too bad?

The fixtures they had left meant the were pretty much down.

I think from memory it was something outrageous like Arsenal/Chelsea/City

Id say its mostly this.

They are a solid and unspectacular side, quite boring, which is about the best they could realistically be given their resources.

That shouldnt detract from the remarkable achievement of BRIGHTON establishing themselves in the premier league.

Brighton had the 8th highest net spend - Bloom has spent a fair wedge.

And look where they are building from.

Unless its in the higher reaches of net spend season on season I dont see much in that stat in isolation.

They were a pure championship squad, got promoted, and are now trying to build up to a premiership squad.

Come on Soton. You don't have to save yourself for next weekend. Just give it all you've got today instead.

Why have City suddenly gotten so brick? It's Bournemouth, you should be three up by now. At least.

Hope the saints can get at least a point from here. Fulham do the same tomorrow then it could still be a decent weekend.

Man Utd 0-1 Southampton

Bad news for Southampton...

It looks like Alexis Sanchez is injured, he is down on the ground holding his right knee.

Palace 3-0 at Burnley. So annoying, not that Palace are winning, The fact of where they are winning at. ffs we messed up badly last weekend
